    I messed up the names! The GLXD6+ is the receiver, the GLXD1+ is the transmitter and the GLXD16+ is the name of the entire system!

    I just realize that I have the same problem as you, after the whole night, the battery always blinks red. I'll try to reboot next time I get the occasion. Thanks to mention this!

    I just got one myself and the charging was wonky. The manual says the light on the remote pack should be red while charging and green when it's finished. Mine flashed red the whole time it was charging. I just finally took it off the charger after more hours than it was supposed to take to charge and the base unit says it's fully charged. I've played it a few hours now and the battery strength indicator hasn't moved. I'll try your re-boot and see if that fixes it. Thanks!

    Hey, you can but alternative cables with the mini XLR on. I didn’t buy one, but I bought a right angle jack and swapped the straight jack out for the right angle one. Works flawlessly

    • @erikarko
      @erikarko  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I saw that as well! It’s the mini XLR-connector that bugs me a wee bit compared to the G70 😅

  • @KeannuReevezzz03
    @KeannuReevezzz03 ปีที่แล้ว

    the g70 does not bypass the wireless function when a cable is plugged into the aux in, it would only bypass the wireless function if a signal is going through the aux input.

    • @erikarko
      @erikarko  ปีที่แล้ว

      That was news to me! My bad!!

  • @capedukewuhaha
    @capedukewuhaha 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The Line 6 G70 also scans which channel is the most reliable. Scroll through 'Channels' in Edit and the last should be 'scan' ...then you take the one with the least interference. So NOT the one with the biggest bar symbol. The one with the smallest. Do this at the soundcheck and probably double check when the room is crowded and you'll never will have any dropouts.

    • @erikarko
      @erikarko  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve done that - and 2.4 is just TOO crowded over here!

      @@erikarko oh sad to hear. Works well in Austria...but when I activate it at home my girlfriend loses her wifi connection on her laptop. That's probably one of the malfunctions why it was discontinued by EU law.

    Latency is pretty high. In this stage of technological level, there should not be even half that latency of 4.5 ms.

    • @erikarko
      @erikarko  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      IMHO 4.5ms isn’t noticeable - and I don’t think anyone would if they didn’t know about it existing 😅

    • @kekkonenprkl
      @kekkonenprkl หลายเดือนก่อน

      4.5 ms would equal to roughly 1.5 meters (~5 ft) of sound traveling through air.
      A real life example: You are plugged in with a *cable* and you initially stand right next to your guitar cabinet. You then take two steps back to 1.5 meters. You now have exactly the same perceived latency as playing with the wireless while standing right next to your cabinet. That's not going to throw any player off.
      Even if you shave the latency to half, you would only gain a short ~0.75 meter step forward in the previous example.
      Main benefit with wireless gear (when paired with wireless IEMs) is the consistency. You can move on the stage and the latency stays roughly the same everywhere on the stage and for the whole band. Even if you had a combined 9 ms roundtrip latency, that would equal to playing 3 meters (~10 ft) away from a speaker with a cable. That's the distance i play every day at home with my wired gear.

    Maybe use a $26 lav mic. They handle proximity better. The 180hz bump sounds awful on the sm7b. Your not a baritone. .
    And you won’t drive up the cost of the sm7. Sm7b is not even close to the same mic
