Thanks, Jordy! I’ve started out wood carving with knives, but I do have a Dremel because I can see there are some times when it’s either quicker or more accurate to use the Dremel to take off larger areas. Sorry about your other TH-cam channel. Hopefully you get all your videos back. Hang in there!☺️

Thank you for your guidance...I used your technique and was amazed at how my spirit turned out...I actually used a piece of cedar 4x4 post with one of the four corner as the point for the nose...biggest challenge is to control the bit which cuts differently based on the direction you move it...which you already know... its now to practice on detail.

I'd say just cut into it and see how fuzzy it is, lol wet wood = fuzzy wood, but sometimes birch is fuzzy when dry

Sorry to hear about your channel and I know you will come back better than ever. I watched you a year ago and decided to start carving walking sticks with wood spirits on them and gnomes. You said anyone can do it and yes you can, thank you so much jordy.
I am 70 and recently retired so making walking sticks to sell at the local gun shows and craft shows is a great something to do.
Thanks jordy and hang in there you have so much support out there.
