damn now my mind run wild and I imagined that in one of the adventures vesper really died and the guild broke apart and magni cloned him and brain washed all of the member so they don't remember because they mindbreak from the grief and the reason of why magni is how it is is because he is the only one who knows the truth and sometime the other members start to remember and he have to intervine to make the illusion stay
yes, and thats why altare is sometimes a (reformed) loose screw because he was the one who's so devastated as a leader that vesper died and couldn't cope with it, and magni keeping axel's seisoness and fluffiness to make the illusion stay
This would be an interesting reason for that lore tidbit that magni is the most likely to betray the group. His knowledge of Vespers death has changed his relationship with his guildmates.
