Hi Tennisnerd, I know Emma from college (I was her student manager at UVA). She is definitely using an off the shelf Vcore 98 2021. No modifications either unless she changed since college 2 years ago. She is very much the kind of player who is not superstitious so I suspect the only reason she still uses the old paint job is because she hasn’t gotten a new set of rackets (as strange as that sounds)
It's interesting that the players who play with Head Speed haven't adopted the new paint. Jannik Sinner hasn't even used it in any tournament he's played this year, even though he's the player on the cover of the racket, in the publicity and in the advertisements for Head Speed 2.0. In the end, the only player who plays with the new paint is Emil Ruusuvuori. What do you think justifies this rejection of the new paint? Wouldn't it be in Head's best interest if its players played with the new model instead of the old one? Maybe the new frame was too white?
Interesting point. However, Djokovic has been playing with a mostly black racquet for a fewer years now. I think there was a comment made that he doesn’t like the white visually because it distracts him while swinging or something. Sinner is more interesting on the other hand. With him I think it’s more of a feel or superstition thing. Kind of like Del Potro was. He started the year with it and won the AO so he doesn’t want to change anything. I would think he would have the updated paint at the start of next year.
Great video as always Jonas! Please convince toroline to release o-toro in black haha, I've been using the green o-toro in the mains and wasabi x in the crosses for almost a month and it is amazing. Black might take it over the top!
A “speed user” has a different meaning in North America. Was surprised by the 6-1 record between Fritz and Tiafoe. I think Tiafoe would be more of a challenge to Sinner than Fritz.
hahaha. I actually think Fritz would be more of a challenge to Sinner. Tiafoe has a tendency to choke and sort of give up; especially when he is not winning. Fritz seems more like a fighter. Think about that Indian Wells final vs Nadal.
I like your style, its a bit easier to leave your predictions until the semi final, well done ! I say Sinner in three sets. The all US final will be far more interesting and competitive so a better match !
I would suspect that Navarro, being so wealthy, doesn't have a contract with Yonex so she's not bound to change the cosmetics maybe ? She's using then the rackets she has (probably stock versions) which she piled up or still buys them from a retail market
Or buys from e-Bay the model Like New from people doing some testing but not though a Program like Tennis Warehouse or Tennis Point has for the Racquets people are getting rid of as are magazines/TH-cam testers who were paid to test or Magazines sent the models for testing and need to unload now the model is not a new model. I found a bunch of my model in 2022 and 2024 an aluminum 25 inch Jr model where original is from 2001--2002 made in Tawain in one color with 4 & 1/4 grip and 2002--2003 later made in China with a 4 inch grip in great shape on e-Bay with 2 unused of the later slightly less good version (only have 2) of the same model 95% the same, though the strings broke on one model and I restrung via Tennis Point using the free synthetic nylon gut at 55 pounds so the racquet will be at 50 once strings works in all becuse the seller failed to disclose that one model had a nearly broken string, they hid the side of racquet in pictures. This 55 pounds and synthetic nylon gut will be what I use for all my model from here on out all 6 once/if the string breaks having 4 original, 2 later of 95% the same model. I did do my own grip that most people are not going to like as on all of these racquets including the never used models with shrink wrap on the base grip, the outer most part of the base grip was failing where the vinyl was peeling off. I probably would have done the same grip or a very similar one anyhow as I hate vinyl in hot weather, you can't grip it.
His Adidas contract or apparel and shoes probably was not renewed. When signing with Fila, he probably just signed an apparel contract, or had an option clause allowing him to use other shoes if he couldn’t find a Fila model he liked. Players don’t like to change shoe models much. Alcaraz, Sinner, Nadal,Rune, Dimitrov, and Tiafoe all use old Nike models no longer available to the public.
@@dustyroot4708 I would think if not this clause above, a similar clause, maybe not having to find a new model of shoe until the off season. I know most top players do not have time to get used to a model during the main bulk of the season.
Why still mention this 'doping' nonsense?! All the top players are on PEDs of some kind. This is Elite competition with $ at stake and they will all do whatever it takes to win. Nonetheless Jannik is a great player and will be no.1 and top 3 permenantley once Novak unfortunately departs in 1-2 yrs. Incredible how hard he hits and all of his game has improved

With Yonex I believe it, solid racquets. Nice to know.
Thanks Will, appreciate it!
awesome, do you also know her string tension?
Low 50s. The exact tension will change depending on indoors/outdoors
Always a great job! 💯💯
Great analysis, thank you so much. 👍
Jonas, let me help you with the string tensions. Frances plays 42 lbs at us open. Sabalenka plays 24/23 kg. Pegula string tension is 42 lbs alu p.
Thanks!

@@dustyroot4708 Nole never used a Speed. Always used the I.radical 18x20 and after the elbow operation many years ago drilled 18x19
@@lkt10 I never said he did. Where did you get that? We’re talking about the cosmetics aka “paint job.”
Jannik has used the previous mostly white speed paint before. I think it’s just superstition, he will eventually switch next year probably
I have one Dunlop Revo 3.0 F Tour in my collection but haven't used it that much because it's extremely stiff.
I believe Draper uses CV 3.0 F. Tour version has 97 inch headsize and Max Purcell uses it on tour
I think you're underestimating Muchova vs Pegula. 3 sets either way imo
Draper at the Sofia Open 2023 used RPM Blast 1.30/16
Cool thanks, but looks different now

Thanks! Will try 👍🏻 would love to test a black version
Thought Tiafoe did finally actually move to the Percept?
Tennisnerd, this video is a w
Thanks
Draper probably uses the non tour version, 100", if we look at the bridge in the throat it's different from the 97", which I own.
Did Fritz change his set up? I thought he had guts in the main and hawk in the crosses. (Atl open 2023)
Yes should be gut in the mains

Muy buen video! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Muchas gracias 🙏🏼
Muchova is a speed user? That's quite an accusation!
Haha, it was a bad choice of words
Sinner is also a speed user apparently
😂
@@FearhandWinnerCannon argue that

But you can’t get ace anymore
Yup. Sad times ☹️
Fritz string info is wrong. His string setup is gut mains and hawk cross
How ya know ?
U need low tension for v core pro/percept otherwise it’s a very low power racket
Do none of the pros use the speed auxetics? I always hear tgt339

Does strung weight mean the final racket they are playing with or does it not include dampener and overgrip?
I think usually it means without overgrip and without dampener.
@@Stu49583 The specs on tenniswarehouse are this way, but I think most pro player specs are with overgrip and dampener included.

Did Head sell TGT319 to general public before?
