@@georgeharliono My pleasure, really. Can I make a suggestion for a video? How about a video discussing your practice habits? Do play scales? Do practice for X minutes, rest, and then practice again? We need to get you a Steinway D. I'd love to practice for 6 hours a day, but I have a job!
@george harliono hi George been watching you on you tube, very talented fantastic playing even as a young boy, I too love playing the piano, I taught myself to play the piano at the age of 15 yrs, I am 52 now, I am mostly self taught, though I was accepted in a piano school during my 20s in the 1990s, to be accepted I played the 1st movement of Beethoven piano sonata in c sharp minor, the moonlight, after I left the piano school, I continued to teach myself, I now fortunately can play all of the pathetique sonata,( just shortened the first movement in the middle and towards the end of the allegro di molto con brio) 2 movements of the moonlight sonata 1st and 2nd, fur elise and various other pieces, I humbly accept there are loads of pianists better than myself, but I feel I haven't done bad, teaching myself, was in Kings Cross St Pancras Station bout a fortnight ago, I played 1st movement moonlight, fur elise, and Scott Joplins the entertainer , I really enjoyed it, and even had a clap, so that was a nice feeling, music is a wonderfull gift from the true GOD JEHOVAH, and we are very blessed to be able to play the piano, greetings from wales uk.

I love how you explain music to us, ‘Music is a very powerful art form, it isn’t like painting or sculpture, it can’t be seen or touch, it only exists in that moment….you play because you enjoy it….it isn’t about winning a competition’ So true, it’s about sharing and connection ❤

Your interview reminded me of my past experience….long story to be short, before I went to study in RCM, my friend asked me to play his all time favourite Schubert serenade to him. He’s not a musician, didn’t know any instrument at all, but he’s a professional social worker. After I finished playing, he just said, ‘so beautiful ❤’. Two years later, when I graduated from RCM, this friend asked me to play the same piece again! When I played, the memories of walking along the corridors of those piano practice rooms flashed back in my mind, I felt the tranquility, as well as, the loneliness at that moment. After I finished, he didn’t say anything, but rather he made a remark, ‘you remind me of walking to the library when I was a uni student’ I was shocked and having goosebumps….that’s the power of music, sharing and connection ❤
Absolutely fabulous interview George, it was a lot of fun watching your interactions with the hosts. You not only inspire young people to play and appreciate classical music, but also old farts like me. I started up piano lessons again Two years ago and am currently learning Tchaikovsky Sweet dreams, and loving the challenge at 56 😊

George! This was so wonderful to see you in interview. You really are a beautiful, humble and talented human being. Basically a really nice guy and a most brilliant pianist who inspires me continuously as I have spent my life as a pianist but mostly a teacher.
Your performance of that Liszt blew me away! Such brilliance!
I thought their questioning was … um… say no more…. a pop musician?? No way! I would have liked them to ask things more musical related like who are your favourite composers, how many hours a day do you practice, what are your favourite works, who have your studied with, how long does it take to learn a concerto etc etc…
Regardless I really enjoyed the interview and it was great to see you and hear your answers. I will fly up to Jakarta from Australia to hear you in concert that’s for sure! Keep enjoying your music George! ❤

@@georgeharliono yes George! I agree wholeheartedly with you! I just love the piano so much. I was fascinated as a small boy. I remember getting my first old overdamper upright.. some notes stuck, which annoyed me trying to play Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude lol

To all of the Harliono family,
I am a Nobody from the State of Maine in the USA. I found you all the hardest of all. And that was threw my love of Ave Maria. The entire family to me is of the upmost high. I did achieve the level from my teacher at after many years his highest and that was Concert Pianist Artist. Lets not talk about me only you folks. I must state after loosing a long time friend to cancer and talked to him every single day. Just hurt me to no end. I asked him many years ago if he like piano and flatly refused this. After my some unknown reason with my automatic computer found your family. I have never in my life at almost 72 years of age ever heard anything like the Harliono family. My computer is way to smart to me. I get all updates on you all. Your talents are just to amazing since I played classical of the most difficult as well. Before I pass away and in my heart felt to you all. I only wish this from the masters of all. My heart fell all apart when hearing this piece and believe me play it every day. Could you please as I can not fine your Brother Josh on violin anymore and I duly know you all have great singing voices as well. I would love before I Sure come to life. Wishing to hear Ave Maria again, that just melted me and said no way that young. I would love to hear George on the piano, Josh on the violin and your sister Adaliene sing it one more time. Like I said I am a nobody, by I know top talents. I can not find Josh every again on computer playing violin. I love you all and there is just no words for you talents. May God Bless us for this sharing around the world. I shall be looking and my computer will alert me for sure. May God Bless The Harliono family for ever. To end, George on piano, Josh on Violin, Adalaide on Cello that also talks, and all of you can sing. My heart is so blessed with this family. No words of any Thanks Yous can be given here.
