- It is time to rebuild this dual carburetor. I am using a carb performance kit that I bought from TJ Brutal Customs. This should definitely improve the performance and sound of this bike.
Next time will be one of the most tedious parts of this Honda Shadow VT600 bobber build as we will start dissembling and taking apart most of the engine.

Hello, thanks for the videos. The mix screw from T.J, does it come with the rubber and metal o rings, I didn't see you install them
Hey! Glad the videos are helpful. The mix screw comes already with everything setup on it. Sorry I definitely didn't mention or show that.

This is a good question! I have read many reviews as well and after installing this kit, it looks of really good quality in my opinion. As you’ve probably seen in my videos I still need to put the engine back together to make it run and tune the carbs. This is where I think a lot of people with negative reviews are struggling. However, TJ Brutal Customs provides instructions on his site on how to tune properly. I believe it will take a few tries but should be pretty straight forward as long as we follow the directions. In addition, ensure the carbs are cleaned completely. It is super important in ensuring it will work properly. Don’t rush it, follow the directions and you will be good! 👍🙂

Save your money and hit up motopsycho Jay. Tj kits are wayyyyy over priced....and his velocity stacks you can find on ebay fit a 3rd if the cost...his just have laser etched logos

Maybe a stupid question, is it possible to add shims without takin the slide diagram out?
Good question. Not sure honestly. Removing the needle might not be that easy if the slide is still installed. I personally wouldn’t recommend it as you are taking more risk than it is worth. Removing the slide is pretty straight forward then you can easily add the shims.
