The majority of the public don't want evs. Make simple cars without all the tecnocrap. Just that much more that can go wrong, and expensive to replace.

Ford can not make simple car without techno crap, because because their profit margin will be very thin. Why build 3 cheap car instead just build one expensive car and make the same profit margin. Sorry ford will not build it.

I want a Tesla. I will charge it in my garage, so I'll visit the gas station just a few times a year. Frankly I think the Cybertruck is better looking than that gaudy $300,000 Mustang GTD and it's only a third the price and has room for my hockey bags and sticks.

The Taurus was only to be sold in Dubai. Enough people got vocal & the car will be made & sold here. I love the Taurus. It’s stunning. I hope they don’t over price it. My parents Taurus had over 300K miles on it when it finally died. They didn’t have a lot of repairs over the years either. Their last car was a Mercury Milan. It’s gorgeous. One of the family have it when my mom passed away. All of us have Fords. I have the 2018 Lincoln MKZ AWD Reserve. I absolutely love it. It’s loaded with heated & cooled seats heated steering wheel moonroof lane keep assist back up camera hold hill button. 2 self parking modes back up camera lights up as I approach the car. If traffic stops suddenly & I don’t the car will do it for me. Outstanding stereo system. Other things within the touch screen system of the computer. The car is push button & no ignition. I keep the car FOB in my pocket. It’s an amazing car. I can also set the comfort ride level. Don’t dismiss the cars out of hand for nothing. I don’t regret my purchase at all. I read their bringing back the Ford Fusion. Ford has learned not to let their cars go. I knew when they did that it was a huge mistake. I’m not sure they want to get rid of the Sports Cars either. I read a bill had passed to keep the combustion engines still in business. I for one agree with that decision. You have to give the customer the choice. Most Car Manufacturers are saying they’re not making any more EV’s.

I've been an auto parts store manager for thirty years. I also owned my own repair shop for twelve years. EV technology isn't there yet. The infrastructure for charging isn't there yet either. Don't get me wrong, EV's are not a bad idea, just not ready yet. Most of my customers are blue collar, trying to raise families. They don't care about radar sensing cars or heated seats. They want an affordable and reliable vehicle. Give the public what they need, rule #1 in any business. The car manufactures are so busy trying to find out if they can do something new, they should stop and think if they should.

Remember when Ford said they were only going to make trucks and SUVs? Then they took it in the ass and realized the average income in the US is $52k and most people can’t afford $70k F-150s. I don’t see Toyota and Honda hemorrhaging money from bad decisions like Ford did because you can still buy a Corolla and Civic that will easily go 200k miles with basic maintenance.

The CEO is rivaling Mary Barra of GM for dumbest CEO of the Year award. Ford needs to do three things to turn itself around:
    1. Build an affordable F-150 without all the tech 🐂💩, at a base cost of 35,000 to 40,000 max.
    2. Build a reasonably priced sedan (Taurus) in the 25k - 30k price range.
    3. Dumbing down vehicles will increase efficiency, have less supply chain issues (chip shortages), and focus hard on engineering quality control to minimize recalls.
Ford has forgotten what made the company great to begin with. It’s very sad to see.

There is a wave of car repossessions as people bought something they maybe could have afforded a couple of years ago, but now the economy gets worse every few months, and they just can't keep up with the rising inflation.
Some people I know have allowed repossession and bought a used motorcycle or scooter to get to work.
Gas prices will skyrocket when the conflict in the Middle East becomes an all-out war.
That's not far away. I own an electric bolt. I know electric cars won't work for everyone, I want everyone to drive what they choose to drive. Electric cars have drawbacks that are dealbreakers for most folks.
I bought mine in 2017, before the supply chain crisis and inflation began and made then too expensive, paid only 33,800 new after incentives.
Most new EVs are over 50 grand now.
I got mine at the right time when the price was still affordable and have saved over 20 grand in gas, road tax, oil changes, and maintenance costs.
The maintenance cost on EVs is almost nothing.
So I will put up with the drawbacks, I knew about all the pros and cons before purchasing and have never regretted it.
For me, it was about saving money long term.
I'm not fooled by the climate change hoax that we must all go electric or the world ends soon. That's total bull crap.

Ford could make a car that had a base price of about 15 grand by making it small, no fancy bells, and whistles, some of which people don't even want.
People could afford a payment very easily, even with little money down.
But the profit margin would be slim.
Ford would rather make cars and trucks that almost no one can afford and go bankrupt later.
Most of the other car companies are doing the same thing. Making vehicles that have a higher profit margin per vehicle, but with fewer sales.
Dealerships are overloaded with cars they can't move, not just EVs.
Many dealerships will be out of business in a year or 2.

Na, it isn't just the cost of EV's. It is the fact that they are useless in cold weather and are truly not "green" at all. When the batteries are used up in about 7 years from purchase, they are highly toxic. No one wants an electric, exploding car. They are collecting dust on dealer lots now all over the country. At my local dealer, They sell 50 - 60 F-Series gas trucks for every 1 Lightening. The electric, ugly Mustangs don't sell at all, according to the service department.

He starts out the video by saying it looks like it's not enough to offer a well designed car at a reasonable price. My question is where is the well design in the EV's that are catching fire and ford trucks with tail lights that cost $5600 to fix when they get water in them th-cam.com/video/MUkFsuilVD0/w-d-xo.html . also where are the reasonable prices. I see neither happening and maybe that's the problem of why they can't sell them.

An ICE vehicle catches on fire every 90 seconds in the USA. So at all times in the USA, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, there is a gas or diesel vehicle burning somewhere.

How many ICE is their compared to EV. The things are catching on fire in the parking lot at the ford assembly plant. I guess all i can say is when your EV catches fire and goes up in a giant fireball and takes your house with it because you parked it in your garage, don't come crying to me. I understand how dangerous lithium Ion batteries can be and I wouldn't want one of those in my garage. I wouldn't want to own a car I have to park 30 feet from my house just to feel safe just because a cell could short and take the whole pack out in blazing glory at any moment. @@dvader3263
