I’ve listened to all 4 - 7️⃣x times now. All damn good. I will continue to play tonight . No wrong answer/ I’ll keep spinning- I’ll give my final conclusion by ten am Sunday - thanks for this Pete 👍💯
9️⃣ spins to each 4. - love album ranking / especially groups I do not know / makes me “ dig in “. - all 4 damn good - no right answer. However/ for purposes of ranking. I always “ lean a little heavy “. So , I’ll go for the one I think is the heaviest. 1- debut 1️⃣3️⃣. 2- probably overall more structured than debut / great flow of melodies/ atmospheric/ jams - 3rd album 1️⃣8️⃣. 3- still great at 3 /1️⃣5️⃣. 4- the 4 th album different sounding - different lineup. Different sounding / but definitely good. This order can 💯 change. All good stuff. Absolutely no slouch “ albums. IMO. Pete/ thanks again for Your time 👍💯
Thanks Pete, another band to check out! This is the best place to discover new music that suits my tastes. I really have to thank you for introducing me to King Buffalo.
#23 One of my favourite albums, it's Bursting at the Seams from the Strawbs 1973. It really is bursting at the Seams with a great assortment of tunes including the folky Stormy Down, progressive tracks like Down By the Sea, Tears and Pavan, the humourous Part of the Union and even a little ditty called Thank You transporting you back to your infant school days. Lovely album, their best for me!
Thanks for turning me on to this band. Cool stuff. On first listen to the catalog I think I like the albums in reverse chronological order, but these things can change in time. 1. IV 2. III 3. II 4. I
Hi Pete. Good show, Here are my rankings. There is a drop off between my number 2 and number 3 IMO, but it still works. 1. Weedpecker 2. IV 3. III 4 II
Debut one of my fave albums past decade. On III early Tame Impala creeping in and I think 3 members left after that album and lo and behold on IV that sound much more prominent. Like many bands of their ilk, career starts heavy then psychedelicizes. Most of those ideas on IV pretty interesting and look forward to V.
Weedpecker. Fantastic ranking the album Show Pete. I discovered that band right after the first album came out. But I havent heard their most recent gonna have to check it out very shortly. But that name makes you laugh, doesn't it? Hope all is well and have a great rest of the weekend..
Streamed all 4. Will now get all 4. Been watching SoT for 5 years, don't remember ever hearing of this Band. Check out that band Zopp Pete. Ken mentioned them. Very good.
Had time yesterday to listen to all four albums and based on one listen and some songs relistened, ranking would be II, IiI, IV, I. II takes the top spot at this time as it is more in the vein of a lot of current listening. III takes the second spot for the variety in many of the songs. IV takes the third spot as default. I takes the final spot only in that it some across a little less enjoyable to my ears of the four. But again, repeated listenings could move these around but an overall enjoyable catalogue added to the listening library. Thanks, Pete, for keeping up the Ranking The Album shows each week. Always something new to hear even if it's not necessarily brand new.
Incredible band, their first album is definitely their heaviest while 'II' was very mellow, 'III' perfected their sound and should be listened to by everyone. 'IV' grows on you the more you listen to it. #1 - III - Favorite track - Embrace #2 - II - Favorite track - Nothingness #3 - IV - Favorite track - Big Brain Monsters #4 - Weedpecker - Favorite track - Berenjena Pipe
1 IV 2 III 3 I 4 II All excellent albums Pete, don't know if you're aware, but Dopelord who's another Polish band have a new album out Songs For Satan. Really recommend it Would love to see you give it a racking on one of your Wednesday programmes
You missed his totally tubular, titanic and terrific: Top Ten Tunes of The Thompson Twins video! Obviously, “Doctor! Doctor!” was his number one Thompson Twins track; the parallels to the UFO 🛸 song 🎧 are quite fascinating. Indeed. Indubitably. And to keep the ruffians at bay, he actually put “Hold Me Now” at number ten. Just because… ya know.
I first heard their III album. Make me think of Elder. Great album that one. Also bought IV. Good album but didn't like it as much as III. Like that it wasn't a rehash of III. Took a different sound. They're a good band but not one i play alot.

Songs for Satan just arrived in my mailbox!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for all the programmes that you put on. Best entertainment around!
Yugoslavia was only country where rock was regular thing since 1965 . Later continue in republics .
I haven’t watched this Channel since Pete said that The Thompson Twins was his favorite band of all time. What did I miss?
Hmmmmm…..you’ve missed so much that you even dreamed up that crazy TT statement! Lol
@@seaoftranquilityprog Lol. Just busting’ them. Keep up the good work
