According to me 1/2 cars per family therefore obtained ans divide by 4 . So total cars in delhi approx 8.15 lakhs

sometime you might not know how much population is there in a state like for example chennai so what you can do take 1.4 billion that is total population and find whether it is a tier 1 or tier 2 city and based on that you can assume the contribution

50% of 2cr is 1cr ( number of middle class people )
And 50% of 1cr is 50lks ( number of middle class people who own a car )

Let asume 100 people main se 50% logo ke pass nhi hai 50 logo main 25% logo ke pass hai 25% logoke 50% logo ke pass nhi hai
Now
0+12.5+25=37.5
2cr people hai let asume 100 people maine se kisi 1 ke pass to hogi na result is
37.5*200000=7500000
