Your vids have been very helpful and very detailed! Recently have purchased a 2014 Audi Q7 with the 3.0 supercharged engine. Was wondering if you have made a video of replacing the oil filter housing? I believe I have oil leaking from there. I have had no luck finding a good, clear and detailed video on how to do it. Would really enjoy seeing one from you as your vids are easy to follow and very detailed! Keep it up!

Great content! As a new owner who was unaware of these issues, this is a great help. I plan on flipping this current car to help get into a house of my own but I hope to own another C7 after this ownership.

    TOOLS AND “WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS”!
One popped up at the junkyard and I’m going to pull it tomorrow so wrote down what i needed, so figured I’d post them here too incase anybody wanted to look over that instead of full rewatching the video while working on theirs!
    Flat head
    Pliers
    Torx bits
    T25
T30 at bottom of coolant pipes (under supercharger)
    Ratchet
    13mm
Breaker bar and 16mm for belt removal (clockwise)
    Drill (optional)
    Pick (optional)
1: Remove serpentine belt from supercharger pulley (breaker bar and 16mm clockwise).
    2: Remove intake tube (flatheads).
3: Remove IAT’s from sides of supercharger.
4: Move fuel line on driver side.
5: Remove plastic guide on each side of supercharger (t25).
6: Mark and remove all the lines behind the supercharger/by throttle body.
7: Mark and remove all the plugs behind supercharger.
8: Double check everything is unhooked and unplugged.
9: Remove 13mm nuts on top of supercharger.
10: Disconnect coolant hoses on front of supercharger(will leak coolant! Cover from spilling if you can).
11: Double check all of these steps!
12: Triple check plugs and hoses!
    13: Wiggle off heavy supercharger.
    Done.

I appreciate the heck out of this, even though I've got an 8R SQ5, it's still the same engine and I'm getting to a point where a leaking intercooler core (or cores) might be a thing....videos like these make me feel like it could be a DIY job since I'll need to get used to removing the supercharger at some point.

Hey what’s up man, hope you’re doing good, on my 2011 Audi A6/C6 3.0t quattro, I bought it not too long ago, the serpentine belt had snapped on me unexpectedly, i changed it, but as i was putting my supercharger belt on the tensioner stopped tensioning and now it’s as if the tensioner nut or bolt (16mm to it) was stripped, i was able to get both belts on properly but now it’s making a pretty crappy sound as if something was spinning or rubbing while spinning but i can’t tell if it would be the supercharger or the supercharger tensioner, and either one, if you could point me into the right direction. please help lol thanks

All of them have reeked of gasoline when I sniff the oil cap. Research has told me that it's the HPFP o-rings. Do you have a video discussing/DIY to resolve?

    • @AudiC7Owners
      @AudiC7Owners  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

It could be hpfp o-rings gone bad, but it could also be leaking injectors.
I have a diy showing how to remove/upgrade your hpfp piston which shows how to take it off the car, but I'm unsure if there is an o-ring re-seal kit you can buy? Maybe post in the 3.0t fb groups asking if anyone knows of a part number.

Cameron, thanks for the video. Seriously as always appreciate the channel. Even though I'm on a C7.5 A7, everything is almost identical, with minor differences. I have heard the installation of the SC is a bit more tricky. I know there are some "flaps", not sure what they are actually called, that must be in a certain position when you reinstall the SC. This honestly doesn't seem like a hard job at all. Any chance of doing an install vid on it? I know it is in reverse order, but my main concern is the flaps or butterfly valves or whatever they are called and how they should be positioned when reinstalling. I just don't want to have to pull it again just because something moved or got put in the wrong position.
