ISTANBUL TURKEY 2024 - PIERRE LOTİ DISTRICT AND PIERRE LOTI HILL 4K WALKING TOUR ON A SUNNY DAY

Pierre Loti Tepesi, İstanbul'un Eyüpsultan ilçesinde Haliç'e nazır bir tepedir. Tepe adını, 1876 yılında İstanbul'a gelerek buraya yerleşen ve sık sık bu tepedeki bir kıraathaneye gelmesiyle tanınan Fransız roman yazarı ve doğu bilimci Julien Viaud'dan almıştır. Tepenin adını Eyüpsultan Tepesi olarak değiştirmek amacıyla belediye meclisine sunulan öneri pek çok çevreden büyük itirazlar görmüş ve belediye meclisince reddedilmiştir. Tepe ve burada bulunan aynı adlı çay bahçesi İstanbul'a gelen turistlerin de sık sık ziyaret ettiği bir yerdir. Tepeye ulaşım TF2 (Eyüp - Piyer Loti) Teleferik Hattı ile de mümkündür.
The Rabia Kadın Coffehouse, now called Piyer Loti Coffeehouse survives. It is several hundred meters to Eyüp centrum. It is possible to drive or walk to the coffeehouse. Istanbul municipality has also established a lift service. There are small souvenir shops at the entrance of the coffeehouse. The free-of-charge museum has been established in a part of the coffeehouse. There are photographs, examples of Pierre Loti novels, a gramophone and a typewriter of Pierre Loti.
