@@julesc_bubblegum I LUV young Marlon 😳 Stanley was SOO GORGEOUS! 😏 how in the WORLD did Kim Hunter and Vivien Leigh even FOCUS?! 😂 he was BEAUTIFUL 🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵
I just finished watching this movie today. What a mezmerizing experience-watching the Hollywood Icons Brando and Leigh together on-screen was epic.Great storyline and script, its different as it is unforgettable!5/5 stars from me!😁
Randy White He’s a hugely influential actor, of course, and has many films where he’s the star but Vivien Leigh has top billing, won the Oscar and delivered the most complex, layered performance in this film.
Rose FabFour I never said he shouldn’t have. He was great. It just annoys me seeing Vivien’s performance overlooked when she gave the best performance in the movie. Very few performances in history have had the effect on me that Leigh’s Blanche has. It’s a powerhouse full of subtlety. Brando, in my opinion, would show greater range as an actor in subsequent roles than he did here. But he was perfectly casted as Stanley, it’s just not a role that requires much depth.
If you ever watched a Kelvin Samuels video of a woman complaining about how fine she used to be and can’t understand why nobody Rich wants her, congratulations. You NOW understand,”A Streetcar Named Desire.”
i have to read the book for a school project so ig i might as well watch the movie as well even tho it is way before my time,i try to watch all the movies for the books to help me summarize everything better
I've seen this before but for the life of me I can't remember if it was on film or film of a stage performance. I'm kicking myself, trying to remember. I feel like maybe on PBS or maybe Hitchcock redid it. I really can't remember.
I've thought about this too! 😱 I was curious myself it's a play on words like a double meaning for instance like there IS A Streetcar ACTUALLY named Desire in the movie lol! 😂 BUT then I think they're talking about the characters and they're feelings of desire Stella has feelings of desire for Stanley her husband and her sister Blanche has possible feelings of desire towards her brother in law herself it's like he has this power OVER the sisters but GAWSH he WAS SOO HAWT and CHARISMATIC! 🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵 I would've fought over him TOO!

Clarke Gable, as peter w., was man enough to tell her to go back to her own bed. my father loved Clarke Gable. he even went to see a Claudette Colbert play. the night he showed up she was ill. typical Jewish luck in America.
Good film if Vivien leigh wasn't in it. I cant stand the silly forced acting of the female roles it's like Scarlet o haha in gone with the wind all the mushy rubbish. The best film noir movies are key largo, the big sleep, the killers 1946, white heat is amazing and the very best is the long weekend about a alcoholic it's a absolute masterpiece 👌. It won the best picture best actor best director oscars its insanely good 👍
brando is clickbait. not his solo movie but its all about crazy woman. the acting is creepy but its 1950s. i cannot blame. i think she won best actress for this. 2hrs movie. there are some act drama comedy i laugh. but other than that movie was awful.
its not creepy Vivien Leigh was beautiful and somuch talented she won two oscars for this and Gone With The Wind, which remains as the highest grossing movie adjusted for inflation so plz stop hating on her

One Of The Greatest Films Ever Made.
Breathless movie, from first to last moment.
Southern Gothic needs to make a comeback!
Great movie! Also, Brando and Karl Malden were together in On The Waterfront, too- another awesome film.
Brando’s great but this is really Vivien Leigh’s movie.

"I never lied in my heart"... They don't write lines as good as that anymore.
Many may not agree with this opinion but this performance might be Vivien Leigh's best performance. Even better than Scarlett O'Hara.
Such a great movie!
