    I don’t care what the furniture looks like. It’s not venetian style, but it’s not bad either. I’m just happy they restored the palazzo in the original way in alliance with the former owner whose family owned this building for ages. And, I would totally stay there too. Looks cozy.

    The minimalist decor of the furnishings fits perfectly with the elaborate frescoes and the lavishly ornate chandeliers. Aman always knows how to perfectly stage it's properties. Top notch

    I simply adore Venice. It's my favorite place on Earth. It is such a special and rich city in all aspects - history, art, culture, architecture, etc. I visit this marvelous city every year. Twice a year! I can't get enough of it.

      I wish I could afford ultraluxurious hotels like this one, I mostly stay in more affordable ones. I love Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia, and I loved a small hotel Palazzetto Madonna for it's style and character.

    Well, AMAN has luxurious hotels and resort, which are famous for mostly minimalistic design. You have fantastic, well restored and beautiful baroque building and you equipp it with modern and flat furniture? Architect must be an idiot. But I see this attempts around the world, where designers try to built bridge between old world and modern era. All of them failed. Old styles are known for their strict rules, every single alien element in their structures breaks down the art and entire atmosphere.
    This hotel should be furnished with hand and custom made baroque furnisher. And that would make it truly luxurious, with unique atmospehere..
    All around it is just sauce what you expect from brand like Aman.
    This project is failure.

    • @youngop
      @youngop 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amanzoe (Greece) blends Old world with modern minimalism almost perfectly and is arguably one of their best projects. but I agree, I dont like the Aman Vince either.

      I absolutely disagree. They have managed to create a perfect balance between the palacial opulence of the old building and the simplicity and clean lines of the modern furniture in my opinion. Only the bedroom was a bit underwhelming, because it lacked the character that could be found in the communal areas. Although I thought the bathroom was gorgeous. 😊

      It’s not the furniture it’s the walls, the dining wear, the little esthetics that make the difference between extravaganza & ordinary. Where is the sudo modern painting of mama cooking spaghetti in a caldron of fire- this place misses on so many levels-

    Aman's minimalism style just doesn't fit European classic aesthetic. It's such a strange combination (just look at those contemporary furnitures, ugh)... It will looks very good in Asia or tropical places though. But not in Europe.

    • @maniacram
      @maniacram 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kamalashila why would it look good in asia?

    • @admenocal
      @admenocal 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      maniacram because the Asian style is mostly minimal. One of their main hotels is in Tokyo and both the building and furniture are minimal and modern being harmonious with one another. Here the style of the building and the furniture just clash, it’s a shame.

    • @maniacram
      @maniacram 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      admenocal Oh yeah it Would match in Japan. By Asia I thought you meant south and south east Asia. More tropical.

    • @admenocal
      @admenocal 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      maniacram most of their hotels are in Thailand and tropical beach places where the simple decor is good, as opposed to European palaces. In India they went somewhere between modern and traditional, quite beautiful.

    The skinny legs furniture everywhere in the room is so weird. The bath is so white that it looks like a spa in a mall more than an Aman resort.

    The furniture looks comfortable. It is a hotel. Classic or old school furniture does not look or feel comfortable. It even detracts from the beauty of the architecture by looking too busy. You can't focus on the beauty of the building.

    You know, I think that some sections of video were snubbed by the music. If you could allow us to experience the true acoustic atmosphere of the place, I think that the video would be even better.

    The furniture in the room was alright, but I know they could have done a more classic style in the public spaces. Not Aman's best hotel.

    Very nice video, thanks for sharing. Hmm if i must say, bedroom looks so standard, compare than the glamour other section of hotel. Its just like contemporary hotel room. But i like the bathroom, its give clean n nice athmosphere.

    Thanks for the video..... But the hotel itself was singularly unimpressive. (ULTRA LUXURIOUS? Very disappointing if that's the best one can find in Venice.) I would have hoped for something more sumptuous.

    Furnishing is not adaptet to the historical style of the house, to cool and modern.
