Late autmn and winter is the best season to visit Venice.
No tourist masses.
Calm mood.
And mystical scenery in the winter rain.
The reason why there are so few tourists is because of the Coronavirus. Usually Venice is jam packed with tourists all year long. If you want to see Venice as quiet as this you need to go soon, before the pandemic is over. It'll be most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm thinking of going next year.
To a Siberian, "winter rain" sounds completely out of place.)) like a "tropical parka" or "maritime elephant"

It’s great but I don’t think much of the city was captured.
I was there in 92' during the carnival, absolutely breathe taking at night. The sense of history is awe inspiring, truly one of the jewels of the Mediterranean Sea.
I stayed at the St. Regis in Los Angeles and it was exquisite.
Lovely hotel and surprising it has the contemporary style. My first trip to Venice was in 1988 and I think I remember seeing it as Hotel Britannia at the time. Since then I've been to the dreamy city four more times but residing at budget to moderate lodging or simply on a daytrip from nearby in the Veneto. 2018 was the last time there in that region of Italy. It's so gorgeous and I can't wait for the day when the world, especially Italy, is opened again. ❤🇮🇹
Italy has been open for a long time. They know there is no reason to live in fear.

Hey doc. Watching this latest from you was a walk down memory lane for me. I was in tears, of joy of course cos I was here last May. The Piazza St. Marco, the restaurant Café Florian, the band of musicians elegantly dressed entertaining the tourists, the bobbing gondolas, the vaporeti, the Grand Canal, all so made for an incredible holiday. Thank you doc for another of your gems from your repertoire. ❤️👍

I stayed here with my fiance and parents. It was so beautiful! And the staff was excellent and amazing. We had such a fun trip together. My father was a little overwhelmed but he got used to it and fell in love with the art and history!💗

The modern interior is nice but I just wished they have preserved the old interior of the hotel/palace. People don't usually go to Venice looking for something modern.

This weekend's esacpe to Venice was truly everything I could imagine. A meaning for the word sublime is: "Impressing the mind with a sense of grandeur or power, inspiring awe." I say this video accomplished that. Impressive! Inspiring! And, Awe!! Love.

I went to Venice 2011 and stay at Westin . Our big room facing the canal so beautiful. Now after renovation even better . Excellent location .

Wonderful video and great tour! I worked for Starwood and now I work for Marriott and this is one of our hotels. I haven’t visited since it changed to a St. Regis but I stayed a few times when it was the Westin Europa and Regina. I truly love the hotel and the new contemporary look is very nice. The location is great and I’m dying to go back! Mille Grazie. 😊

Gorgeous hotel. Stayed at that location some years back when it was the Westin Europa and Regina, but it looks so much nicer as a St. Regis now and the location is unbeatable.
Fantastic videography Bellissimo!! I haven’t been to this city & hotel since 2003. Back then it was much more crowded in the city but no less opulent. I found the Venice hotels ( Europe in general) were rated differently than western hotels. A 5 star in Venice would be comparable to a 4 star at a Western Hotel, both in size and amenities. The Regis was always 5 stars for me. Sunset at San Marco Sq drinking wine, listening to the performers is a transformative, religious experience. Thank you for bringing back fond memories. Beautiful city scapes enhanced by your skillful filming.
Well, I've finally caught up. With this video I've now watched every single one of your videos. Thank you for this channel. It's given me inspiration to get travelling again once that is safe to do. I was a very fortunate child, and was able to see a great deal of the world at a young age, but as an adult life has gotten in the way. This channel inspires me to fix that, and give my family the gift I had. Really great work. Any chance of seeing any of Bora Bora when things open back up (hopefully next year)? That's a bucket list vacation for me.

The boat taxi to the hotel was very nice. But the Gondola Boats sitting in front of the hotel are beautiful and simple Venice! The St. Regis is simply elegant. The nice touches of chocolate with small faces look like the faces from BAFTA awards in England. Your hotel room is simply beautiful. And with you walking around the property in the day time and night time is breathtaking. Such a great stay at a simply elegant hotel. Again, thank you for showing a beautiful hotel in a great city.

I love the garden area...I guess you'd know where to find me....lol!! Love the arrival...beautiful taxi! Are rumors of dolphins returning to the canal true? Love the flowers in the lobby and the S shaped settee which reflects the shape of the canal .. Would've loved a bowl of roses vs candy in the room... flowers have a wonderful energy 😃! Such lovely colors you caught with your lens in the afternoon and evening. I very much look forward to your site seeing video... !! The only thing missing were smiles .... 🙃

Your videos are always exceptional and having stayed at the previous St Regis San Clemente Palace I was interested in viewing the St Regis 2.0.
For me San Clemente Palace was far superior. Set on its own private island in vast beautiful gardens it truly is a most unforgettable Venetian experience in every way. Now operated by Kempinski it is considered the best in Venice and justifiably so. The new St Regis , although stunningly decorated, is more New York or Dubai than Venice. The historic and beautiful Gritti with its sensational view or even the Aman, just down the GC would be my preference.
The restrained elegance is truly sublime. Totally tempting, seducing to be more appropriate; bound to be, after all its VENICE.

I went to Venice in my 20s and climbed to the top of that tower the views was amazing. For all the walking I did I know that I could not do it now.

Hotels are temporary homes. This is a home. Its charming warm and inviting. I would expect nothing less from Italians. As a native of NYC I can tell everyone home is a religion to Italian families. This hotel make me feel like I'm family. Thanks for the tour
I visited Venice in 2017 , stayed in Venice Novotel Hotel in Mestre . Venice is one of lovely cities in Italy.
Thanks for the upload. Marriott have managed to alter what was a very beautiful Italianate style hotel into something bland and colourless that could be anywhere. Much preferred this place when it was the Europa and Regina. Fortunately there are much better options in Venice

Ah! A full service, five star hotel. Such a nice sight to see. They really renovated well. They could have added a hotel building ($) to where the outdoor patio is but they didn't.
