I´ve found the Rain Tree Crow album a couple of days ago. I´m collecting music for more than 45 years, and I went a long way for this.... It is one of the most beautiful albums in my collection, perhaps the best I´ve ever heard! Thank you so much for this music!
I hold you in A sea of silence On the borderline of truth Open violence I see no sign I see no place I've loved Depending on the signs To find the road Blackwater take me with you To the place that I have spoken Come lead me through the darkness To the light that I long to see again I walk with you But sleep beside her The summer came and went It passes us over I see her cry I see the face I have loved Depending on the blind To find the road Blackwater take me with you To the place that I have spoken Come lead me through the morning For the land that I long to see again
Oh my I just just love this bleak and melacholic tune...the fragility of vocal of David Sylvian inspired a poem in my latest book of poetry "Poems From The October River Rabbit" 2023 "In Search of Mr Sylvian"
Perfect, definitely thanks to all these artists! David Sylvian is unique, but without other three guys wouldn't be such a beautiful sound. One of my most favourite songs, I wish it play at my funeral :) MoodyB, thanks for sharing! Really better quality!
moodyb You're right. It is annoying. Did Sylvian release a collection of videos of his solo material that could be purchased? I know there was Japan's Instant Videos. That's probably out of print. Glad it's still on TH-cam to watch.
I love this song and album. Am I the only person who thinks this sounds (the chorus in particular) like a surreal mashup of Country Roads by Olivia Newton John 😀
I've only just learned of this project..... it's a stunning sounding album.... but the sound on this video is terrible!! Go listen to it on Tidal if you can.
Anyone listening in 2024 🖤
Im always listening and have done since I bought this beautiful album in 1991. Still very relevant in 2024.
An absolute masterpiece. I will listen to this till the end of time.
Yep
And why wouldn't you listen to this masterpiece? ❤
I've been listening to Sylvian and co. since 1984 ♡♡♡♡

This is a majestic record and remains one of my favorite albums.
Same here. Every year there's at least a week nothing else will be listened to at my house.
ás is a stäggäiring debütt. . ??
I hold you in
A sea of silence
On the borderline of truth
Open violence
I see no sign
I see no place I've loved
Depending on the signs
To find the road
Blackwater take me with you
To the place that I have spoken
Come lead me through the darkness
To the light that I long to see again
I walk with you
But sleep beside her
The summer came and went
It passes us over
I see her cry
I see the face I have loved
Depending on the blind
To find the road
Blackwater take me with you
To the place that I have spoken
Come lead me through the morning
For the land that I long to see again
A sublime piece of music.
Beautiful song, always loved it and always will........❤
Japan in its final glory....all so talented.
One of my all time favourite Sylvian songs.
This song kinda wraps up all that Japan was - as a functioning band - tactile, emotive and trance-like. A beautiful book end to that chapter.
this album is up there with Dark Side of the Moon. My favourite drummer in the world too.
Beautiful trance... _"A New Beginning Is in the Offing"_

No dislikes says it All outstanding beautiful music ☺ this music gives me tears every time.

First time I have heard this track. Absolutely stunning
Sylvian has it all. The voice and soul of an angel.
*had, he lost it, and I'm really worried about him. He's not the same.
Thank you for all your fantastic videos.
Kris Music You're very welcome! :-)
I never new this album existed I was and still am one of the biggest Japan fans ever, how have I missed this one.
Not that big of a fan if you didn't know until 2020, 30 years later

This video itself is excellent. Very Tarkovsky-like.
I DIDNT KNOW THIS SONG HAD A VIDEO!!!!!
I thought this was going to be absolute rubbish, it's not. I really like this.
No dislikes says it All. Absolut beauty music.
Beautiful , I Love It
Amazing song you can drift to!
No one read Mick's autobiography? Socmel. Some damn good makeup and I guess some time between filming everyone. ;)
I have the words to this song on my arm xx
Nice clarity!
Is this song inspired by the book by Michael Mcdowell?
The entire album is underrated! Moodyb, I hope you can reupload the Red Guitar and The Ink in the Well videos.
Dana Vixen RTC is a superb album! The RG & IiTW videos are still there, but blocked by UMG...Which is truly annoying and short sighted in my opinion.

Dana Vixen There was a Japan 'Best Of' DVD, but nothing for Sylvian sadly...One can live in hope though!
nice one :)

Nope, and you probably mean the original John Denver song. Olivia covered this.
@@DominiqueVanheusdenYes…yet nevertheless a brilliant observation I’d never before realised. Thank you, @seabud6408
nice bird
Nice !
Rain Tree Crow.
Always think this was what should have followed Tin Drum

Japan
Stunning album !
Love this song, it's a shame that Japan got all political and Sylvian couldn't wait to dissolve the group .
Ma perché "" traspare"" questa tristezza,malinconia.. non comprendo !!!
I've only just learned of this project..... it's a stunning sounding album.... but the sound on this video is terrible!! Go listen to it on Tidal if you can.
great song, terrible video
I think is a good video... It really matches with the aesthetic of the album and David's whole discourse...
I like the video, it's perfect for this track
