      Where do you buy your white tea from?

    I drink mostly aged Shou Mei or Gong Mei. But every year I still get some fresh silver needle to enjoy. White tea and puerh tea are probably my favorite teas

    Nice video - as always. I like your style, and it's always a pleasure when a new video arrives.
    Being used to drink mainly green and oolong tea, I first thought that white tea is nice, can taste pretty good, but just lacks "real" flavour, if you know what I mean. It seems to be too mild and mellow.
    However, that changed.
    Then, I started to like white tea more and more. If I had to chose one style, it still would be oolong - but luckily, I don't have to chose.
    I started to realize that, besides a nice and delicate flavour, white tea can evoke such a feeling of "contentment and comfort". It's like a liquid warm hug. :-) Not only, but especially with aged white tea. It just makes you feel good.

      They do say that an aged White tea is one of those teas that can get you tea drunk quicker. Perhaps that's the feeling of contentment and comfort that you're talking about. Thanks for watching. More videos on the way :)

    I wrire down the tast of the sil er needle and white peony. Amazing how complex the tasts can be. Its quite an experience.

    • @teaangle
      @teaangle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed. White teas can seem quite light but there can be a lot of complexity in its flavours as well

    Silver Needle White Tea, hand-picked from the finest tea gardens, offers a delicate floral aroma and a smooth, sweet taste. OOTea

    • @teaangle
      @teaangle  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed it does. Personally, still prefer White Peony over Silver Needles as they generally have more body and a thicker mouthfeel

    I still love me some Shou Mei / Gong Mei, Its got a lot of flavour but its still fairly~ delicate. Visually its one of the prettier teas too, imo.

      Pretty in a darker, twisted sort of way :p

    Trying my first true fuding shou mei as I watch, instant hit of honey and jam aroma, is stunning to be fair, rich tannin flowers after, very nice.

      Despite often being classified as "lower grade" White tea, shou mei are often quite interesting teas with nice flavour, body and mouthfeel

    I HAVE tried an Indian white cultivar and it has a prominent osmanthus profile in aroma and after taste. It's one of my favorites you can find the brand Orajas, they sell good leaves. A co-worker got me a gift of an aged bing of Fuding white. It has so far been the BEST aged white tea cake I've had. I usually only collect cheaper Shou Mei cakes going for age. I like the after taste of this tea. Tangy, but not as honey sweet at the fuding. THEN i also found a rare blend of Yue Guan Bai "white puer", this is now my favorite white tea with the best cups coming around after the 6th steep.

      Yeah the white teas from Yunnan we've found can be interesting as they can have characteristics you'd find in raw pu'erh but in the form of white tea. An interesting combo for sure

    Isn't gong mei just a white peony but picked later?

    For me, I never quite found white teas to my liking compaired to other types. But that was until I tried a good aged white tea. BAM, and I was hooked! And with aged I prefere Bai Mu Dan or Shou Mei, or blends of them.

    • @teaangle
      @teaangle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, with aged whites, it always seems better when there are leaves in the tea. Can't imagine an aged Silver Needle working that well (though happy to be proved wrong)

    White tea is good, I got this 6 yrs old aged shou mei cake and I drink it regularly. 🌿🍵😵‍💫

      To be honest, White Tea isn't my go to tea but, I've been finding myself drinking more aged White teas, particularly aged White Peony a little more regularly so...I guess it's become a go to tea now?

    I like white peony, it's less expensive and more flavoursome. Silver needle is obviously good, but it's abit too light for me.

    • @teaangle
      @teaangle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree with that. While I can appreciate a Silver Needle, I'll always prefer White Peony

    I’ve watched 10 videos on brewing White Peony Tea and not one has given me a clue on the amount of time needed for steeping each time. Not have they told whether or not I need to give it a wash😢

    • @teaangle
      @teaangle  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For loose leaf, you don't really need to rinse the leaves first. I still do rinse the leaves but it's more out of habit. In cake form though, I'd recommend a quick rinse to loosen the compressed leaves. Steep times can start at around 10 secs. If you find that's too light, then add an extra 5 secs to the steep time
