Nice, learned to drive on a 68' when I was a kid on the farm. Long bed. Drove it into a barn the first time I drove, lol. Good old clean truck. Thanks Scottie.
ScottieDTV Yep. That truck had a scar on the grill for ever. I saw the truck a while back. And the dent in the grill was still there. LOL That was 43 years ago....wow
Awsome truck..I wish I could fix up my Grandpa's 68. He passed when I was 7. I use to ride with him everywhere standing up in the seat next to him. Hold on Hoss fly he'd say. Smoking those old cigarettes. Use to choke me to death.
I am not a Ford man but I love this body style of Ford truck. I always have and you are starting to see more of these at shows which I think is a good thing. I hope I can catch up with you at a car show this year. I don't have anything for you to show yet but hopefully I will have something in the future as I have two project trucks. I guess that can be a goal of mine to have you video one of my trucks. Mine will be nice drivers. Anyway I hope I can talk to you at one of the shows.
Very awesome truck man , very well done ! I've got a 79 F-100 Ranger XLT here in Australia with same 351 Cleveland and 750 Holley double pumper with C6 and 9 inch LSD with sway bar ! Awesome job thanks for the video .
To me, this is THE truck. Nothing crazy, but great looking, comfortable, something you could and WOULD spend all day in. Drive it from Orange Texas to El Paso without breaking a sweat. From my point of view HAVING a nice ride means DRIVING it. Does no good sitting in a garage with a cover on it. And I'm a fan of old Ford trucks from the get go right up thru the 1996. In 97 Ford lost me. But there are still likely millions of old Fords out there, many waiting to be revived. Sadly not many will reach this level.
I had a 69 for 10 years. GREAT to see a straight one...lol. Don't care for the low profile tires, they do NOT suit this pick up. I would LOVE one of these in 4x4. Also, Australian releases, only had the steel dash top, not the vinyl cover, OR any Ranger options. Over all, a mighty fine PU.
Truck is gorgeous man .... very well done ... I rather like this then mods .... same engine as my 79 F100 Ranger XLT 351 Cleveland with 750 Holley and C6 auto ( in Australia we’ve had 351 Cleveland’s on our trucks and cars throughout the 70’s )
another great video Man!! I have a 69 and a 74 F100 don't know if you've checked out any of my videos still work in progress more on the hot rod end but I love the fact that you post video of these old F100 they have made a strong comeback and one of the best looking trucks ever made in my opinion. I'm running Big Blocks and both of mine and hoping to do some custom paint on my 69 this year. thanks for the videos keep them coming!!
My only problem is there a few things that have been removed, The storage compartment on the side, the trim and also the original wheels i have my own 68 ford that im working on and im trying to keep it as close to the original as possible
I have a 68 long bed. Nice but need lots of work. Can't anyone in my area to work on it. Thinking about calling Garage squad , to see if they can help.
about the only thing i would change since the old steering wheels are huge. they made them that size to turn non power steering i guess since half probably didnt have it
Where’d he get those mats!? I can’t find plain carpet mats big enough anywhere. I need exactly what he’s got there but I can’t find it! I really don’t like rubber mats - too uncomfortable
Yeah I had a friend from Arkansas that had the exact one but in electric blue with 1988 f150 xlt lariat seats in the blue velour. The most comfortable seats on the planet and looked slick in there.
All that work and still an open diff? And what's wrong with a period correct FE motor? Probably would have been bigger (360, 390) and put out more power.
Rich people have it made you can get any thing that you want. I started life out being so poor that I have tried so hard just trying to break even I am 59 years old. I do now have a home I am proud of. But I would so badly love to have a muscle car. I am disabled now and cannot no longer work. But even if I could work I would never be able to afford a muscle car. I suffer from depression anxiety and stress back troubles heart trouble. I just started having censors with end the last year.
i love that it's not slammed. nice, clean, slight aggressive stance.
Glad you liked it!
Here I am watching this again. This is a dream build of mine..

What size tires and wheels are on the truck and did you have to do any modifications?
All I know is in the video....Sorry
Very clean!
For sure!
Nice truck👍👍
For sure...Glad you liked it!
That is one truck that i would love to own, so minimalistic and clean looking. Just one thing, the steeringwheel does seem abit close or am i wrong?
I would think it was factory location...
ScottieDTV Alright.
it is factory. I have a 68 f100 and I can confirm that the steering wheel leaves little room for anyone with much girth to them
about the only thing i would change since the old steering wheels are huge. they made them that size to turn non power steering i guess since half probably didnt have it
Where’d he get those mats!? I can’t find plain carpet mats big enough anywhere. I need exactly what he’s got there but I can’t find it! I really don’t like rubber mats - too uncomfortable

Hi, I'm building a truck like this,
What size are those wheels?
17"?
All I know is in the video....sorry
ScottieDTV Ok, thank you anyway.
Greetings from Brazil
Your welcome!
All that work and still an open diff? And what's wrong with a period correct FE motor? Probably would have been bigger (360, 390) and put out more power.
My birthday is coming up. I may have to throw a few hints to the wifey.
lol....Good luck!!
Very nice
Glad You liked it!!
perfect girls truck. my girlfriend would love this
She said she did...
love everything except the wheels and grill
makes it look better to me with those wheels instead of the basic old ugly ford rims
The 69 grill is the best one!
That thing'll git!
lol....
Cool I want my 84 painted white
Cool!
What size rims are those?
All I know is in the video....sorry
Damn nice truck, but an open diff with a Cleveland?
