@@laurenclark2646 Yes. That partnership he formed with Wanyama during 16/17, I think those two at the top of their game could slot into any midfield in Europe. But then Tottenhams usual injury luck struck, and the midfield was left a burning wreck. We seriously need someone like him.

I wasn't sure who you was going to put for West Ham regretting selling, I couldn't think of any that we regret that we could have kept. But I forgot about Kouyate and I agree. He was a great player for us, and we could do with his type of energy in midfield today. Definitely a strange one, the fans loved him too. Very well thought out video, it's like you're a fan of every club.
May have been a bit harsh, but he's only scored 3 Premier League goals. I think a case could be made for Wood and certainly Kramaric being better alternatives to him.
@@HITCSevens kramaric wasn't suited to the premier League so I doubt there is any regret from Leicester for selling him, yes hes proven a success in the Bundesliga but it's a completely different style and culture to the EPL, Wood on the other hand has proven his worth in the EPL so there would be some regret there
You said Iheanacho cannot score this season instead of vardy but he has covered well when he played this season and Rodgers has started him in some games even where vardy was fit
Watching this video now, 2 years later , most the players you talk about have really become great at the clubs they moved on to. Many even reaching status of “great” and even “ Superstar ⭐️ “ level (the best in Europe/ World ). I’ve thought the same thing about Southampton & imagine if they were able to keep some of the players just for 2 more years. So many gone on to become great players; some being on the SuperStar level!!! Always look at who the Saint sell, and see how good they become!! ( Not every player but many of them become integral players at the clubs they moved on to).
As a Brighton fan, definitely don’t regret us selling Norwood. He was a bit part player for us in our promotion season, it made sense to sell him and I don’t think he would get into our team now as we have better players in that position. He’s obv done great at Sheff Utd this season though so all the best to him!

For Liverpool I'd say Luis Alberto would be one theyd regret selling. He is currently one of the best attacking mids in Italy and would no doubt add some flair and help unlock defenses.
I wouldn't say Liverpool happily sold Ings because if you ask them, I'm sure they'd say they'd rather seen him stay. Ings is going into his prime and they couldn't guarantee him regular minutes because of Firmino. They also had Brewster coming up so either of Origi or Ings had to be let go and Origis ability to play wide, tipped the scales in his favour. Liverpool had to sell someone and selling Firmino and Brewster wasn't really an option. While Ings didn't force a move, Liverpool were resigned to selling him. They probably also felt that a move away was best for Ings' career and didn't want to stand in his way because of all that he had to go through with injuries during his time at Liverpool.
For Aston Villa the answer is Albrighton. We don't regret selling Traore, we got Adomah in the swap deal who had an instant impact and was integral to getting promoted, and Traore has only started to come good this season. Albrighton was our Grealish before Grealish.

The Gnabry deal is a bit more complicated than its made out to be here. Bayern were basically always the ones who bought the player, but for some financial reasons they set the deal up so Bremen would buy him first, with a transfer then to Bayern already pre-agreed when he joined

Video idea (that could become an entire series really): Best XI made from players that one specific player has played with. For example, Di Maria has played with the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Zlatan, Rooney, Ramos, Modric, Neymar, Mbappé, just to name a few.

As a Liverpool fan I don’t think we really regret selling Ings. It was more Klopp letting him go for the goodness of Danny’s career. Obviously we’d love to have him now but it wouldn’t be fair to him to be on the bench for 90% of the time. He was a great pro for us and everybody is happy to see him doing well
Lukaku is the only one that was any good at chelsea to be honest. De Bruyne was awful at chelsea and salah was just the most inconsistent player so when you can get 60m for two players who are no good they would have done it but lukaku would be nice right now
To be fair, back in Arsenal Gnabry was not as good as who he was in both Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich (the latter where he is destroying defenses in Germany and Europe). I am happy for his development as a player though - he has become a fantastic winger and truly has proven his critics (Tony Pulis in particular) so darn wrong.
Gnabry was good when we had him (better than Iwobi anyway) Wenger didnt want to sell him, but Gnabry wanted more game time. We all know Wenger cares about his players and so he let him move, probably realising Bayern would tap him up. I can honestly say that i dont miss Gnabry for Arsenal tho, i dont think he would have made the difference with regards to our form over the last few years, we are just THAT poor and it is very contagious.
In most of the cases, I think the club selling the player helped the player. Player gets to go to a lesser team and develop as they are playing more competitive games. Therefore I don’t think the clubs should regret selling the players as the players probably wouldn’t have developed to who they are now if they had stayed at the club
Jeff Rene who? Alex Oxlawho? Biggest regrets selling has to be 1. Gnabry 2. Szczesny. We actually got decent money out of the first two but let the last two go for peanuts and they're both world class...
Rather than 'regret' selling/buying, how about players that moved where there was no suggestion/thinking it wouldn't succeed (at the time). Eg. Veron to Man Utd, Torres to Chelsea.
Norwich city's worst sale is vadis odjidja-ofoe he barely started for Norwich and was sold to Legia Warsaw where he won player and midfielder of the season scoring 5 goals and getting 14 assists in 42 games. He then moved to Olympiacos scoring in the champions league against Real Madrid and now plays his football for Gent. Bit more of an affective player than Ayala I'd argue.
One player that Manchester United truly regretted selling was Jaap Stam. Even Sir Alex said that he was sad to let him go to manage the finances and United suffered for the next three seasons in defense after Stam left for AC Milan. No one cared quite as much for Pogba when he was sold.
Burnley could have been Rouwen Hennings who is one of the top scorers in the bundesliga this season at a relegation battling team and played as a bit part player mainly just sitting on the bench for Burnley in their Championship winning season
For Liverpool: Sterling, Suarez and Coutinho don’t count because they forced through a move. For Man City: *picks a player that everyone knows (including himself) forced through a move.*
Sterling, Suarez, and Coutinho forced moves because they didn't want to be at Liverpool. Sancho forced a move because he wasn't getting played. There's nothing Liverpool could have done to keep hold of those three, if Man City had played Sancho, he would have stayed.
Arsenal fans don't/Shouldn't regret selling Gnabry, he was never good for us at the club and never hit anywhere near the heights he's hitting now. Going to germany made and developed him to be the player he is now. I have no doubt in my mind that if he'd have stayed with us, he wouldn't be like the player he is now. I think most of us can agree a player we all regret selling is Oxlade Chamberlain, such a handy player who was so versatile and could come on and light up a game.
Gnabry was never an outcast at Arsenal, they desperately wanted him to extend his contract. He was actually doing well and was sent on loan at WBA to accelerate his development where Tony Pulis didn't play him much and he also got injured and when he came back he wanted to go back to Germany but I guess the real story doesn't get clicks.
