I bought a pair because of the sensitivity level, ohm rating and because they matched my Sony NOS EX model Cassette player, all I can say is Wow they sound perfect together
Not a recommendation, but take a look at AKG K371, Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X, Audeze Maxwell and also Hifiman Sundara Closed-back (especially with the latest price drop)
@@kinemosstech Thanks for the reply, but the k371's and maxwells seem to have loads of quality issues, and the sundara closed is very poorly tuned. Do you think these are less detailed than the dt 700 pro x?
I have the MDR 1A and they have broken today and looking fo another one but ebay wants silly price for them considering there old headphones and came across this video with the M2 so do these sound better as i like the sound of the MDR 1a had them for almost 9 years so looking for the same sounds style
They don't sound the same. M1 is more of a darker sounding headphone, with less emphasis on details. M2 to me sounds better, it's more detailed and has a cleaner presentation. Build wise the M1 was more robust, but M2 is lighter and more comfortable. Hope this helps!

I'm glad you are enjoying your pair!
Great portable set, picked up a 2nd hand pair here in NZ, light but well built with a fun sound
Great to hear!
You say that this isn't as resolving as other headphones at it's price. What closed backs would you recommend instead around the price?

@@kinemosstech thanks for the feedback i like bassy headphones with a warm sound
wait isn't this line discontinued ?
I bought my pair several years ago, so not sure if it's discontinued. I'm still seeing it at some retailers online though.
