Zack is one of the few drummers to inspire me both on drums and at the gym
Him and Matt Garstka
Fax
Nice just that but at getting some chicks too
Same lol
look up Clay Aeschliman
I LOVE that you included the call with ZackGrooves here. It's amazing how often the core of a complex groove is actually pretty simple, and it really helped hearing where Zack was coming from in describing it's roots.
... Also you're playing was cleaner than you gave yourself credit for on a couple of those ❤️
I was literally like an hour ago scrolling through your channel looking at older videos and thinking: "Man I wish this dude had more videos..."
I heard u
My heart dropped when zack said "totally typical". Thanks zack, thanks.
Let me know what you’d like to see me (attempt to) learn next! Lol 👊🏼
Do some Yussef Dayes grooves!
el estepario siberiano ;)
latin grooves
playing and anticipating songs you`ve never heard before
I wanna see some Snarky Puppy song action here brother 😎🔥
Love that you got Zack in the video. Always great to see the TH-cam drumming community coming together.
My favourite 2 drum channels!
I literally transcribed and learned all of these grooves last week. So cool to see you posting this!
By the way, I have like 20 transcriptions of full videos by Zack. Let me know if you want me to send them to you!
Omg you’re a legend!!! please! hahaha can you email them to me?! brandonscottdrums@gmail.com
Could you send me one too?
Me 3?
me 4
I‘ll do that when I get home on Sunday!
You need to give me some email addresses though :)
I really appreciate you showing all the mistakes along the way. Not enough people see the process before the product, and have no clue how much frustration and grinding comes before the part they see.
Seeing both of my favorite youtube drummers learning from each other puts a huge smile on my face.
mood!
respect for posting actual practice footage including you struggling - very refreshing content, almost no one does it
That first groove is an absolute MONSTER. Bravo for even getting it to 160 👏
That two ghosts and then snare with left hand in a row . Is fire , very Yussef Dayes. Great breakdown
My favorite thing about your videos is that you show how much you struggle to learn new concepts. Its nice to see that good drummers became good by being a bad drummer first.
Zack is goated
Really gave homage to zack’s authenticity through this video!
Yes! You could really feel the ZackGrooves vibes in this one!
Love this “what to practise” series Brandon! I’m constantly in practise mode myself, and there is something comforting in watching another drummer struggle, swear and sweat to learn something. Your videos also always look and sound good to me.
I agree that some of Zacks grooves are nasty.
Hang on - you can slow things down on TH-cam? 😳😅
5:54 finally somebody said it!
this is how every drummer should behave towards each other! EPIC
I don’t care that I don’t drum. I just love looking at your color pallets!
Incredible independence radiates from both of these talented teachers! Peace from Detroit MI.
The first part of that 3rd groove has a 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover kind of feel
So good to watch other drummers practice, I get really discouraged thinking I’m never getting any better
We all feel that way!!! I legit feel like I suck right now… and like, I know I don’t suck, but the better you get the worse drummer you think you are. It’s a total mind game but you HAVE to understand that’s how it works. Keep pushing!!! ❤️
@@BrandonScottDrums good to hear, appreciate you broski
The editing and overall production value on your channel is F'ing insane! Keep 'em coming.
the crack from ur snare is soo amazing man
Dude! Thank you so much for this, that's exactly how I feel watching Zack kill it. I'll be butchering this stuff for a while lol... but at least I don't have to transcribe it. You rock, my friend.
16:35 on at half speed is absolutely hilarious. It’s like 2 buddies stoned out of their mind that can’t stop laughing 😂
Thank you Brandon for sharing the struggle I have every time I see Zack's playing 🤣
Anyway seeing you and Zack in the same video was sick! I'd love to see you guys collaborate again in the future
Couldn’t stop smiling through pretty much the whole phone call. That was really cool to watch.
you should absolutely try and break down *Red Miso* from Animals as Leaders' new album Parrhesia. Those stacks hits at 15:37 that Zack hit reminded me of the first part of Red Miso. It's also an insanely innovative groove
All hail Brandon and Zack! Two of the best TH-cam drummers but you take the Editing part for sure with all the cool affects
Homie. Please. Do something for us about Yussef Dayes’s groove. Its killing me.
Greetings from 🇲🇽 lov ✌🏼🫰🏼
The 4 things you start vid with are deffo me when listening to Bonham & Peart, especially the throwing phone onto desk going “nahhh not in a million yrs” 😂
True bro moment when Zack explained the groove the Brandon
I just love you! Your whole approach to learning teached me how to become a more patient person. And on top of all that I just regained my curiosity that I missed so much. Thank you so much!
What a freakin legend. Both of you. Legends
thank you for giving me a 5 hour practice session
Aside from the amazing drumming, your videos are so well done. Such high quality editing and visualising!
Always a delight to watch :)
Killin’ it with the radon remediation.
Great lesson Brandon! My doubles are definitely improving so much thanks to you, cheers mate
Love the cross-pollination here👏 Excellent‼️
Sooo good vibes from both of you))
Just started first one, thanks 😎
This video is what it is all about. GOD i love the fact that we humans can all cooperate and flourish, when it comes to music. It is a universal form of enjoyment for both the one who is playing and the one listening. Great Video ❤
immediately started to learn the last groove, sooo much fun like you had haha :D amazing video!!!!
bro you’re amazing thank you for this kinds of video
The bromance is complete!
Love your videos man!
When you were playing the first groove and hitting the kick instead of the hi-hat chick I felt that on an emotional level.
Sometimes we dont even know exactly what we are playing until we slow it down and explain.
This was a great video, enjoyed all of it. Zack is a dirty birdy love that style.
Love how that Purdie Shuffle turned into something else in the intro😉
smiling. so wholesome
Nice video man...... I love the studio upgrade 🤩
Your video quality is incredible🔥🔥
man how do we all drummers could hang out like Brandon and Zack did! that's amazing interactions
Saw Hiatus Kaiyote in Houston a few weeks back! Hell yeah bro, jamming the good stuff!
Thanks so much dude, especially for going to the effort of the sticking pattern and notation!
It’s difficult to find any kind of lesson for grooves like this
FINALLY!!! LESSSSGOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
this was so wholesome. im in a very good mood now
Yo Brandon I love the both of you, thanks for this video and MAJOR props for your growth as a person, musician and content creator. Been watching you for a while and you've definitely come a long way!! Dope stuff!!
Awww thank you SO much!!! I’m really glad I have this platform to let the creativity flow. I LOVE it so thank you for being here and watching!! ❤️
This was super fun. 🖤🤘🏻
This series is dope and so is ZackGrooves
It's gotta be all that weight training and muscle/strength in zack's forearms that allow his rudiments to be so smooth and precise at incredible speeds...
I remember one of the first things my drum teacher recommended me on my first lesson at age 10 was to start doing pushups on a daily basis to build some arm muscle.
Needed this
This reminds of when we ha
D to play whiplash in a school concert I was not chosen to play it because I was a rock drummer but I work hard and played it everyday and pulled it out on rehearsal day everyone was like where that come from never give up
The combo we didn’t know we needed 😍
Great as always Dude 😎
Outro song: Kitrano - Grateful
Scott, you are sth else. I'm lucky to be a musician/drummer with you around.
More grooves from Zach please! This was sick Brandon!!
Utube is insane for us to learn whatever t f we want. Anything!! No internet, no utube. T internet's insane...for everything!! Grt vid BS. Zac's a beast. Grt cameo. 🍻✌️
godayum this is some high quality video and audio my dude
DUUUDE! WHAT A COLLAB!
I love this community so much. F*****k!!!!
thanks Brandon,, I enjoyed you two,, very good video,, very funny..
a legend
Bruh your videos are helping me a lot😇😇😇
So dope.
Haven’t even watched it yet and I know its gonna be great
thank you zackgrooves (and brandon)
Amazing vid
Killer grooves from Zack and a Kagome's Tshirt?? OMG 🤘🤘🤩
I loved that intro bro😂
That last groove is sooooooooo good 🥵♥️
Insane
I would struggle with this groove but I am deffs trying it
I love that you keep your struggle to play these beats in the video. That's real sh*t. We don't see enough of this reality in videos... and you know we all experience it.
Yeeeeaaaahhhhh!
yeaaaaaaaah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This reminded me of the J.P Bouvet groove video you made like 10 years ago! 😅
Bruh the intro was the same way zackgrooves does his intro to his videos that made my day lol
Zack é bom demais mano
Zack has the most sensual minute ghostnotes out there
Him getting the insane speeds. The PUSH PULL technique was highly needed to learn and he usually switches it to regular double wrist stroke motion (or rather moeller) while the other does the P-P technique.
It's a complete mix of the 2.
I'll give this a go as well he just whole another animal on the kit.
Bro, can we just talk about all of your editing process and video ideas. You’re kind of living an ideal life for me lol
1:42 damn that`s nice
this video was absolutely insane! great work you two :) p.s. maybe normalize the video's audio?
Hell ya, I had a good fkn time watching this! Lol, love those beats, too, tbh. Would not mind tearing that shit up myself 🤔😁👌🏻
OMG lol I go through ALL of these phases every time i hear Zack play lol
