I think you guys are a little tough on this generation. The athletes now are better than they were in the past and that’s just a statistical fact. Just go look at track and field as an example. However, I think the military is missing out on a lot of exceptional athletes because people who are the best athletes in high school or college all have extremely well documented medical histories. I’ve heard countless stories of people getting into the military in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s by fudging or hiding health records. Paul Howe (former unit guy, Panama and Mogadishu for those who don’t know), for example, was rejected from military service when he first tried to enlist because he had asthma. He tried again a few years later when his paperwork had cycled out or something and just didn’t tell them. There are lots of guys who want to go in and would probably do an excellent job, but are medically disqualified, largely because they were the best athletes. Jus food for thought.
We're not tough on this generation. There are statistical facts that support what we share about a lower bone density due to less activity from the latest generation.
You guys are constantly pushing this right wing horseshit. The performance of SEAL selectees is better now due to performance training. I think you're projecting your own doubts about your masculinity and physical prowess. I'm a 24-year combat vet in the Marine corps and Navy, I just retired last year, before you decide to spout off.
Cop on this generation? No way. I think we are way too LAX on the younger generations. Letting their freak outs influence how we react and make decisions. All this Woke crap is damaging
