    When do add the salt

i'm going to try this. it seems like this idea might work with ingredients other than beets. wouldn't adding beets make the tomato paste kind of sweet? i might try this idea but add ginger and pablano peppers along with other spices. do you think it would work to stew the tomatoes and onions in a slow cooker instead of a hot stove top/fire?
i came to this channel after watching a program on the making of corn silk tea, but i didn't find that video here. i'll check back in a few days. i'm going to try that one also. for all this time, i have been throwing away the corn silk. i don't drink milk, so i wouldn't be adding milk in any event, but can you add lemon juice to the tea?

yes you can add lemon juice

@@mirabelallassani2736 i haven't been able to find any fresh corn at the supermarkets i usually shop. even though it's not in season right now, the stores usually ship produce from other areas, so i was still expecting to find some fresh corn by now.
i probably should have been a bit more clear in this question about the lemon juice because what ghanaians call a "lemon", i call a "lime" (i live in the united states). what i call a "lemon" is usually called a "foreign lemon" at the grocery stores in ghana.
in any event, i'll try corn silk tea with the juice of a "foreign lemon" as soon as i can find fresh corn in the grocery stores again.

You can add it after it is all cooked and ready to blend. Please be sure to add in small bit and taste to ensure you don't make it too salty.

Please why did you add the beetroot?

Beet give the paste a natural red colour and helps with the nutritional need also. but most importantly keeping your paste RED !!!!

Without freezer, put the puree in a glass jar and cover with lid. Place the jar in a pan on fire and boil for an hour. Let it cool and remove from the pan. Store in a cool place
