I agree with focusing on working on liking yourself, I.e. becoming that best version of yourself, if you are content with yourself - you are calm, pleasant, confident - so ppl will eventually like you
Awesome topic! I agree self care is definitely important, and it's true you can't control how others perceive you but if you concentrate more on liking yourself and what you are doing with your life you will find more pleasure and maybe you may feel more powerful as a person because your taking control of yourself a bit more. Own it!
This is very true for a lot of women and I believe this to be true for a lot of my family members and a few of my female friends in the past. I believe that as women, we feel the need to prove ourselves worthy of praise and adoration from men especially, even to the point of compromising our worth and standards, just to be liked or followed on social media, it's a sad reality. Thanks for the video!!!!!!! 👍👍👍💖💖💖
When it comes to a social situation, I think we put male and female children under different pressure to be liked. I’ve caught myself doing it and had to TELL myself off! 😂
I think people who spend their lives bowing down to a boss that is a jerk and laughing it off is a sad way to live...but many people do it. When you hate your boss and you say it and then turn around and laugh at every joke...you need to be working to find a situation that is more true to you...not saying you should quit your job asap but you should just find something and an environment more authentic...I have been there and I was so relieved once I no longer had to fake it and got to actually work with people I genuinely respected and valued and who did the same for me...that is real success and getting ahead in that scenario is better than signing a contract to be fake for a career or a lifetime...
I really don't care if people like me because I have no control of people think about me, I can only control how I react to their actions ...life is too short enjoy it before it is too late.
We grow up seeing our mothers put everyone’s needs first and always thinking of herself last. No one ever expects this from boys but it feels expected of girls. Perhaps society assumes it’s in a females nature to be giving and sweet but I don’t think it is! Y

It's better to be real than to brown nose. I teach my daughter to do what's rights not what's popular.

I think you scratched the surface in the question to I need to be liked or want to be liked. I would like more discussion in another episode please.

I don't give a Hoot what others think of me--I'm just ME and that's enough like/or not. But, then I'm Romanian we're known for that! LOL
I think once you have the age and job status you want/retired,you begin to not care. At my age I may want it-at times-but I’ve learned to not need it.

So true! I am 56 going on 57, and don't really feel the need to be liked the way that I did when I was much younger.

woman? what if i told you that the desire of being liked is wired in everyones brains atnd it has nothing to do with sex.
