I always love to see what color your nails are in your videos. It is even better when I see a polish I have ^-^ I was lucky to find a really great base/top coat clear polish - brand is Wet-N-Wild, its called Wild Shine. I, also, have never been a big brand follower, but after I used this polish a couple of times it is I have stuck with it. What sold me on it was that after wearing my polish for a week the polish will fall off the nail (kind of like a fake nail - the ones you glue/stick on yourself - will fall off after the bonding agent has worn out). Most of the time it will come off in one piece - in fact you could even stick it back on with some more clear coat. If you watch you can tell when it is getting ready to come off and just peel it off - unlike with regular polish it doesn't damage the nail, it is more like the play polish kids get to use that peels off...but this just lasts longer. I hardly ever have to use polish remover - even with glitter polish(which is awesome!!). Sorry the post is so long.
You should try "bubble white." It's a solution where you add it with a bit of water and it bubbles. Soak your nails in it and it will get rid of the yellow stain. Even though using base coat is "preventative" against discoloration, it still turns yellow! Loved theta stuff. :)
jewljuju2929 If the glitter nail polish base colour is sheer that might happen. In that case I suggest you use another nail polish first, that way you don't have to put on more then 1-2 layers of glitter nail polish to cover the nail :)
Thanks for the nail rutine! But I have a question, you said you used to bite your nails, how did you stop from doing it? It's just that I also bite my nails and I really want to stop it so it would really helpful if you reply me, thanks! :D
Rosslyn Street You're welcome. Since we all bite for different reasons I suggest you try to identify when you bite your nails the most and the reason for it. For me I bit the most when I was nervous to calm myself. I think it was because I was doing something familiar when I was biting my nails, so it somehow created a bit of a safezone for me. For me it helped to deal with the underlying issue first, to become more confident in myself in such situations. I also bit my nails if I had managed to grow them out a bit and they started breaking (as some sort of freepass, "well it is breaking so it's okay if I bite it now"). To help that I put on nailpolish to repair the damage or if it was to big I filed down or cut my nails, so that I wouldn't be tempted to give myself that "freepass". So my advice would be for you to try and think of when you bite and why you do it. If it's just a habit you do out of boredom to have something to do with your hands, then try to stop yourself before biting and find another thing to occupy your hands with, so that you aren't tempted to bite your nails. Nailpolish can also be a good thing to put on if you try to grow them out, it can prevent you from biting them or atleast remind you to stop when you start biting without thinking about it. It also makes your nails stronger and less likely to break :)
***** Thanks a lot for the advices! I suffer from anxiety and depression, so usually I bite my nails when i'm nervous or sad but I even bite my nails with nail polish (I know, it's disgusting)
Rosslyn Street You're welcome, I hope it helps. Aww well just hang in there, it takes some time to stop biting, but every small step brings you one step closer to stop biting ^.^
***** Really? Well, I think I'll start working on it, and soon because for some odd reason, ever since I bit my nails, my fingers aren't in their right position, they're like twisted xD
Sugoiiii Yellow discolouring happens even with using base coat, but the yellow stains that I was talking about only happened to me when I didn't use base coat ^.^ I try to be careful, thank you :) If I don't use nail polish my nails unfortunately break within a few days >.
