Great video and just made it to the video outro and almost bawled. The addition of Rowdy was very sweet and it was a beautiful send off. I’m sorry for your loss and hope you’re doing okay.
theres ones episode of part one where Fujiko gets unreasonably mad at Lupin when he tells her she should lose her memories. But this series makes that moment hit pretty well.
I really do like this series and the way that it kind of revitalized the Lupin franchise which, at the time, was going through a weird period. Though, I do want to pulled a Homer Simpson style eye bleaching with the "that scene"( the one with Fujiko and you know who in the opera episode). But overall the show was good and the cast was great despite that one of very few missteps. Keep up the good work.
What I love about Fujiko is that she does what she wants because she wants to. She has NEVER used the excuse of having a bad past to excuse her evil actions. But what we’ll never know if those memories were truly hers or not. From the reviews I’ve read it seems as though Oscar and Fujiko are foils for each other. Oscar represents a person who based themselves on being the peak of societal expectations, while Fujiko is the polar opposite of that expectation. But take my words with a grain of salt. EDIT - My Fave Episodes EP 1: Master Thief VS Lady Looter EP 2: .357 Magnum EP 3: The Lady & The Samurai EP 5: Blood Soaked Triangle EP 9: Love Wreathed In Steam
The casting choice for Richard Epcar to play Zenigata instead of Jigen was Funimation's decision to mix their own established cast with the LA cast know for their work in part 2. From Funimation's established cast, they kept Sonny Strait, Chris Sabat, and Mike McFarland as Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon, but got Michelle Ruff and Richard Epcar to fly in from LA and play Fujiko and Zenigata. The latter played Zeni since they had already brought back Sabat to play Jigen, and this newer Zenigata was more hard-boiled than previous incarnations. But because of the Fujiko dub, when Discotek got the rights to dub Jigen's Gravestone in 2015, they kept Epcar as Zeni. My guess is that the Koike films serve as a spiritual sequel to the Woman Called Fujiko Mine so they brought him back there despite nearly everyone else being brand new actors for their roles. Plus this new cast for the Koike films was made prior to Tony Oliver and crew returning for Part 4 and onwards, which re-established the Part 2 crew as the default English dub crew of Lupin for the modern dubs.
i can respect it for being a more critical depiction of police, I think that's an artistic choice worth taking when you want to. but it's a huge departure from the core character. it's more like zenigata was replaced by some other guy who is kind of a bastard and makes for a good critique of the police lol
I think this is the Best Lupin series. The writing is so witty, and even though I love the dub voices, the original lines are so clever.

Really? I don't remember that myself. Do you know which episode it was?
@@CJTMN the one where the big fat mob boss goes brain dead or something. Just looked it up. Episode 6.
Ah, makes sense.

the only thing I really don't loke about this one, is how it depicts Zenigata.
Agreed
