For me they have stood the test of time, and I love to continue supporting them as far more affordable than say Daring brand and were way ahead of most stores with offering store brand of vegan meat analogs :) it was so fun watching this video! You guys have really gotten me through my last few weeks of school. Lol it sounds crazy but i play your videos while i do my school work because they are so relaxing to me. (Im 31 and have 3 kids so ive learned to multitask well) lol
Wegmans now has their own line of cheeses, milks, yogurt (lol), butter (which is my favorite spread butter. Years ago- Wegmans brand was actually Gardein products with Wegmans name . They then took all off shelf and Re formulated with these.
ok so it's not Gardein. A few people have said that and I'm like ehhhh tasting it is not love and Gardein is love LOL. I laughed when you said yogurt (LOL). Have you tried the cheese? Seems to have mixed reviews
@@MakeItDairyFree - I have not but I know people have either loved it or hated it. I live in Rochester NY which is where Wegmans originated. They used to have a large vegan cheese pizza you could order from the pizza area in the store and it was great because it was huge and only $10. They would use Good Planet mozz cuz that’s what they carried. Now they pretty much only carry the Wegmans brand cheese and a few people I know have got the pizza and the cheese literally melted to a liquid. I heard the grated parm is good though. I LOVE their brand spread butter- waaayyyy better than Earth Balance. Also they have their own brand of Nooch which is very good. My youngest son really likes their brand vanilla almond yogurt and the plain almond milk yogurt is a good sour cream sub. Their oat milk is really good as well.
I love Wegmans! Thanks for reviewing their products. You guys are great. The Nuggets are actually from the company that makes Alpha nuggets. If you compare the ingredients they’re identical. These are my absolute favorite and I can’t stand the Daring products so it really is just a matter of taste.

Thanks for the input MP! We've been making meals without added oil for several years now due to health concerns. I didn't realize this before but, Tahini adds saturated fat, so we stay away from that too, but its typically added to store bought hummus. I checked my local Wegmans, again. But the majority still have canola or olive oil added and they all have Tahini. As you noted, only one Wegmans variety of dozens, their "Organic Original" hummus, is free of canola and olive oil, but still contains Tahini. Engine 2 hummus, available through Whole Foods Supermarkets, is the only variety I know of without added oil, but its a 4 hour round trip commute for us and not available through Amazon. I've experimented with several recipe's over the years. We finally found a homemade Oil & Tahini free hummus recipe from a TH-camr named Chuck. His website is "Brand New Vegan". Can make in 5 mins with very few ingredients and a high power blender. Makes enough to last a couple weeks, and we adore this stuff. If trying to curb the industries added fat is important to you as it is to us, check out this TH-camr's recipe on his channel.

Is it weird that I _knew_ you weren't cutting through the third veggie burger because it probably had mushrooms in it? LOL! There are no Wegman's stores where I am, but I enjoyed watching this just the same because this niche regional grocery is making through own analogues. I mean, it's one thing for a huge corporation like Kroger to do it, but regional grocers? A change is coming! TFP : )

I'm definitely gonna try those Don't be chicken cutlets! Also, I don't have a recommendation got what to try, but don't waste your money on the Wegmans Plant-Based Cheddar slices. The slices crumble immediately so they don't work on a cold sandwich. You think, "I'll melt it and it will be better," and you're right; it melts reasonably well, but gives no flavor to the food on which it is melted. Such a waste and I really love Wegmans and most of their products. . . I mean, try it if you want, but you've been warned. 😆
Okay Larisha. Here's a challenge for you. Make chicken without using tofu. You did an amazing job making fish sandwich without using tofu. I just don't like a chunk of tofu trying to be meat like. I know you can do it 😉

@Frank, as a 40 plus year vegetarian and 15 plus year vegan, I’m super light on meat alternatives...it’s an occasional, for me...but my kids and nieces/nephews, including the (g’s) seem to need it in their journey....for them I can eat the breakfast ‘sausage’ and ‘fish sticks’ all the while praying they’ll go whole food/plant based soon...but will I every give up on the occasional vegan fish stick 100%?...yeah...no...❤️💚❤️

How difficult was it to compare vegan meat substitutes when you don’t eat and will not eat animal meat to compare?
We base it off what we remember.
