Can you try the Wholly Veggie products? I saw you guys do the buffalo cauliflower wings. They also have mozzarella sticks, and sweep potato popcorn "chicken" or something like that :) I've seen them at Sprouts btw, but every Sprouts differs on which items they sell.
A friend of a friend works for Abbot’s butcher and said that Chipotle’s plant-based chorizo is from them. I tried it and loved it so I also look forward to trying the vegan chick’n after seeing how much you liked it 🙂
This product by far is the cleanest plant based "meats" I've ever seen. The beef and chorizo are gluten free. However, one thing I've noticed with crumbles, they do not break down when chewing. It like chewing small pieces of rubber. 😊 thanks for posting the video.
@@MakeItDairyFree 🙂 I just want to say how proud I am of the two of you. You not only bring us great vegan recipes, you bring a lot of laughter and joy along with it. Andrew my mother has fallen in love with you. Don't worry Larisha she just turned 72 😀 . Keep up the great work. Many blessings. By the way, can you make a meatloaf (not from crumble)? Thanks
I tried the chopped chicken and added to “chicken” soup. It was really good. Noticed it swelled up after soup sat for a bit. Size of pieces much bigger after cooking than right out of vacuum pack. Texture nice, soft chew. Flavor good. Smell did notice ( thats a good thing). Will buy again
You all finally reviewed a brand I haven't tried! 😆 I have been curious about these, but I'm with Andrew, $5 is normally my price cut off. 😂 And I still spend a pretty penny on groceries sometimes, 'cause $5 ads up fast. I will try the chicken one now though, thanks for the review! Oh... And it's totally cooopon. 😉
Publix had a 2 for 1 special on abbot products, so I got the fajita chicken and the chorizo today. I highly recommend publix vegan turkey subs as well, I had that for lunch today. I like that abbots "meats" are low fat and moderate sodium as well, so they are pretty healthy even for a processed food. I like that they are made from pea protein as well instead of soy or gluten for a change.
I use the beef in spaghetti and I really like it. The chkn I like in tacos and the chorizo in bowls or burritos. Definitely going to keep buying these.
I _knew_ it was mushrooms when I saw Larisha rereading the ingredients of the beef crumbles and ever so slightly smirking, ha! Will look for these products locally; thanks for posting!
I really like the ingredient lists so I am glad that for the chicken and chorizo are good alternatives. I am trying to not eat stuff loaded with ingredients that are hard to pronounce or know what the ingredient it. I appreciate ya’lls review and taste tests! BTW way Andrew, Larisha pronounces coupon correctly, lol!!!
Loved the ground beef and chicken! The chorizo unfortunately had too much cumin for me (grew up in a Mexican household that would only use a pinch or none at all). Thanks for this review! Can you guys do a Back to Nature food review? I believe they went completely vegan last year! My favorite snack brand, they bring all the classics and make them vegan!
Funny, I just bought the chorizo one for $3.99 at Grocery Outlet. I really liked the texture, flavor, and heat level. I would definitely like to try the chick'un one
You two crack me up !!! Your comment on the chicken it’s not slow roasted well it’s not real chicken it must be pretty hard to replicate this . I cooked the chorizo and made quesadilla I was very happy with the flavor , to be able as vegan eaters to have those options is big ! You get tired of eating beans and tofu that’s a good option , I loved the chorizo so much that this is going to go on my pizza topping , I didn’t try the chicken after watching you two talking about it , I will go and purchase it . I have never liked either brand plant base ground beef crumbled , now that I found out that Impossible food has used rats for testing I no longer support their business . I like Abbot’s clean ingredient lists that’s a plus , there is so much crap out there , prepared vegan food can be unhealthy , it’s important to read the ingredients . I cook everything from scratch but these will be good options . Thanks for your review ❤
@@MakeItDairyFree have you tried their meat replacements? not the seafood ones. the tuno in sriracha is pretty good though. i havent tried most of it myself cause its hard to get where i am.
Great video yall! I didn't know about this brand until you enlightened me just now : ) Where did you find it? Morning Star has really good Chorizo too. As far as "Qpon" vs "Coopon," I started out in life saying it the Q way b/c everyone around me said it that way. Then one day I heard someone on TV say the Coo version, and then after I heard it more and more I decided to switch up how I say it lol But now I think I use both pronunciations and just change it up based on my mood ;D
i've been a fan of andrew lowe on youtube for years and he's been vegan for as long as i can remember and him and his roommate RAVEEEE off of abbot's butcher products. they talk about them so much they ended up getting sponsored by them eventually so honestly, that's the only "hype" i've seen around this brand and after hearing yall thoughts they must be right! i'm just with andrew on this with the $5 price limit😂, for the price it's something i would try for a special one time thing and probably not purchase it often. also with it not being available in any stores near me but that's a recurring issue with a lot of vegan products lol
I feel like every time Andrew hates something for having mushrooms, I know I'll love it so no shade this time. Want all three. Edit: my ex-husband is French Canadian and is ADAMENT - it's COO-pon. Not CYOO-pon which is how I grew up saying it in Massachusetts. Husband 2 Nigerian and says cyoopon but I can't go back.
I could add vegan meat o my daily meals but wouldn’t want to lol!! I could not find this product in Northern California. It would be awesome during all of your taste tests, if you could include some info about the company, where are they located and what stores can we buy from? Or order from online from. Thanks, you two are hilarious and I love your honest comments on everything you try!
Nah on those meats. But love the video anyway 👍☮️ doing the raw vegan thing for some meals. Half week on etc.. do you have any exceptional Raw recipes?
I couldn't get over the smell of those, and yes it tastes the same as it smells. It was awful. Even with extra seasoning that taste and smell lingered.
Have you tried this? Is there another vegan meat company you’d like us to try?
try all the cliff bars! 🙌🏻😂
but for vegan meat brands maybe gardein?? or morning star since theyre transitioning to 100% vegan again!!
How about “The very good butchers”
No Evil and Upton’s both have some really solid products

Thank you so much for reviewing our products! We are glad you enjoyed them. We recommend using the Ground "Beef" in a Spaghetti Bolognese.
Thanks for the tip!
Omgosh plz plz do a grounds/ground “meat”comparison video that would be so awesome
I'd like to see them cook it how they did in this video and then one that is in sauce like a meat sauce or chili to see if the texture holds up there.
@@samanthab5006 good idea!
we need too huh

It's a great store

I have been looking for a really good chicken substitute that's not fried. Now I have to find it! I appreciate y'all!!
Hope you love it
By the ingredient list alone I’m def gonna give it a try. I’m surprised there isn’t soy or canola oil added 👍🏽
awesome right

I tried the chicken. I seasoned and bake it. It was good. I like the ingredient list as there no inflammatory oils or natural flavorings.
