Bring back the old school McDonald's hot apple pie full of face melting molten goodness. The pies they have today are just full of sadness.
Try what a burger
Popeyes apple pie is the same as the old micky ds one
I like the new apple pie better.
@@ronicrotty5542glad others notice it. That chain has gone to shit
Yu?y
Hmm. I would have thought a Frosty would also be up there for Wendy's
I haven't had fast food in like 15 years, but I feel so vindicated that Wendy's fries are their most popular item lol. I used to go to Wendy's all the time, and would always get the same thing: Large fries and a small frostie. Was my favorite "I'm so high I can't figure out what I want to munch on" indulgence snack.
Wendys burgers are square because Dave Thomas never cut corners!
That's ironic about the french fry change at McDonald's because vegetable oil is not better for you than beef tallow, and they tasted better when cooked in beef tallow. It will take another 100 years before everyone knows that. also, the blizzard was not invented in 1985. In the late 60's, Dairy Queen had a blizzard. It was made of seltzer water, pineapple, and orange sherbet. (I don't think it had vanilla ice cream in it too, but it may have.) The ice cream flavored ones came later on, but that item was first labeled the blizzard. It was good.
Cost not health
I mean if they were just upfront about it being beef tallow all along, and if they didn’t lie and false advertise to a million vegetarians and hindus and whoever else, then they would’ve avoided the entire controversy altogether. their own fault for being dishonest.
And if you really want good taste and good health, you’re not going to McDonalds in the first place let’s be real
those fries were the bomb. they are still good but not the same imo
Very interesting video, it was cool to learn that what is the most popular item is not always what they’re best known for. Please do more “most ordered”/“most popular” videos like this, maybe by state or country if possible!
I went to Subway a few weeks back, two sandwiches cost 24$+. For a layer of meat thinner then a sheet of paper. Stopped going back after that.
Big Mac and fries from McDonald's any day!..
I understand KFC bucket being the most sold, but give me the popcorn chicken bowl any day of the week. The flavors and textures just mix so well
I’d like to see the old recipe for original fried chicken from KFC. Loved the breading and flavor. I would also like to see long John silvers return to Hawaii
In retrospect it’s not surprising that a popular side dish like fries but not always fries, is often the most popular one. If almost every customer gets the side dish but usually gets one of several very popular main-dish sandwiches or whatever, the side dish’s bound to win.
Wendy's loaded baked potatoes 👌...wish Arby's would bring back the ham n Swiss cheese sandwich...no other fast food chains have them!!!
Hardee’s has a ham and cheese sandwich - haven’t had one in years but I just now would really like one😄
I miss Webb's Swiss King sandwich. Very popular when I was in high school.
Love dis review video
The only menu items I like from McDonald's are their famous French fries and Filet O Fish. And their apple pie.
I love the filet o’ fish. No cheese extra tartar sauce
I only go to Mcdouchebags for breakfast for the steak bagel, 2 packets of picante sauce, and a large Hi-C. I stopped going for lunch when they discontinued the grilled chicken wraps
No Carl's Jr or Hardee's... their chain is probably larger than many mentioned here.
Love the, which ever part of the country I’m in - same company! Carl’s Jr. Saved Hardee’s many years ago from going under - had a burger at Hardee’s many years ago and it was the worst thing I’ve ever had! Carl’s Jr. Saved them and started making really good burgers, etc.
Been to hardees twice and both times ended up puking in the parking lot. NEVER AGAIN
Should try it BEFORE a night of drinking.
As a whataburger employee, I've seen some snippets of my store's data and yes the whataburger sells the most but it gets really really close with some other ones. High school kids devour sweet and spicy bacon burgers and honey barbecue chicken strip sandwiches like crazy because vegetables are a no no i guess lmao
Now imagine there was an all-in-one restaurant that offered all of these items. What would you order? I would get the Panda Express orange chicken with a side of McDonald's fries and then a DQ Blizzard for dessert.
grew up on kfc. and pizza hut in the 70s they will always be my favs. even though im old now i still love a good kfc chicken leg. thanks for the vid
First thing that I think of when I think Wendy’s 😂 is asking someone “ hey do you remember Wendy’s ?” 🤷🏻♂️😂 does any of you remember Wendy’s?
I always love Wendy's when they first come out now that's saying where's the beef is so true 😂 it actually looked like the picture now they're like a flattened out White Castle I'm surprised you did not mention a&w they were the first fast food chain in the US then came White Castle
@@StarFleet_Tech1701 I think of people saying “hey remember Wendy’s?” And when people say “Wendy’s?” And then they replay “When-these nuts 🥜 were in your 😮” 😂
The most popular in our town is Wendy's and arbys. Only 1 BK left. Mcdonalds is only busy for breakfast and after 9PM. Taco bell and Popeye both closed down. We still have a LJS and a KFC (but not for much longer). We have 2 DQs and 3 subways. What predominantly is in our town is non-franchise taquerias and pizzerias with some of the best food around. We also have bars with gourmet food and decent prices. And an independent grocery store with the best fried chicken voted 21 years in a row
I would argue that Dairy Queen's top item is whatever the blizzard of the month is.
How did Carl's Jr and Del Taco not get put on this list?
That Big Carl though. My heart!
I miss the kfc potato wedges and I like sonic!
I often hate on BK but the Whopper is my favorite value burger - no mayo, extra BBQ sauce
Ketchup and BBQ sauce together? Why?
@@PapagenoMF I like it saucy. Chili sauce &/or ketchup is usually a main ingredient in bbq sauce.
Bk is a joke. I go to my favorite bar down the street and get a bigger totally customized burger for the same price. Their burger is fresh and grilled with a list a full page long of toppings. I get mine dressed up with hot and spicy ingredients with a side of Carolina reaper cauliflower and a red cream soda float. They even named the combo after me... The hellhounds dog bowl
@@hellhound1389 That bar charges you $5 for that burger?
Their rodeo burger is the real value burger on the menu, burger also the good one with BBQ sauce.
I would have hoped the whooper would be its most popular item, lol...if not then BK doing something wrong. Surprised to hear the Crunchwrap supreme was the most popular...would've figured it was the Mexican pizza.
Nah that's why it was discontinued multiple times
I figured it would be the Doritos Locos Tacos
I used to order Firehouse Hook & Ladder sub at least once a week 😅. Notice they closed many stores in recent years, the now closest location is about 7 miles from my residence.
My go to was their beef brisket with barbecue sauce and a Chilli with diet coke. Very tasty!
There used to be a Firehouse at the local mall (West of reading, PA), but they closed at least a year before COVID.
yup sad the one by me closed. think it was poor franchise management but they have the best hot subs imo, especially the meatball sub
Subway is in the city where I live so when I do have the money I actually visit it quite often. Even in those times it didn't go so well for them. Though I never order anything from the actual meny, but always make the bread custom made. Which can sometimes be annoying as prices can vary EXTREMELY. Like once I paid 5 euro and once I paid 15 euro, for the exact same order. It makes no sence at all. But oh well. My favorites are the white bread with ham and chicken teriyaki and/or ham with egg. And I always have some lettuce, cucumber and honing-mosterd sauce added to it. Damn actually wanna eat it again now xD
When I was an Operations Manager for Wendy's in Colorado about 16 years ago, baked potatoes and chili were the 2 most ordered items.
People often requested them instead of fries with their sandwich.
Yes I order chili and baked potato only. Burgers aren't as good as they used to be!
At Chipotle, the bowls are popular because people are trying to get unnecessary carbs out of their diet. Also, you can mix up your bowl so you get some of everything in each bite, which you can't do with a burrito.
The ones that had the most popular item being french fries is a cop-out. French fries are ordered as a side so of course they’d be more popular!
Wendy's fries > McDonald's fries 😅 🍟
I concur.
Mcdonalds fries when they were cooked in Beef fat were unbeatable
@@UncleEbenezer77🤔
🎉 delicious and tasty❤
Cool 😎 !
I am actually amazed to see Jollibee make the list! I live in The Philippines and Jollibee is the most popular fast food chain here.
Jollibee is growing in popularity, well deserved too. It's coming to my city in Australia soon and I'm so excited.
AND NO TACO BELL
@@stevestjohn1479 are you replying to me?
I live in So Cal, and there's a Jollibee in Van Nuys, by Kaiser hospital. Their fried chicken is THE BOMB!!! The wife and I try to stop there for it whenever we end up at Kaiser for lab work.
I must admit I LOVE Md's french fries more than anything else they serve but for some reason I love the chicken nuggets too
Whataburger needs to bring back the mushroom and swiss!!!
I heard from an inside source that the most popular item at MacDowell's is the Big Mick
And of course the thumbnail pic is a badass whataburger
I swear I prefer chick fil la over raising canes they just seem to taste better especially how chick fil a is the only place I would get chicken nuggies from
i don't like pandas orange chicken that much, but i think their grilled teriyaki chicken is amazing
This is a good list but I am wondering about checker's, captian d's and cookout.
I haven’t seen a Checkers here in the South so don’t know if they are around here, but I do like Captain D’s and Cookout! We had a Rally’s/Checkers in Phoenix when we lived there years ago - just different names depending on location/part of the country.
So many in this list we don't have in the Netherlands :O
cherry-limeade - sure.
But being away from, pretty much all of these, for a while, the one thing that came to mind (well, two) when I read the title of this clip are; Sonic BLT (on Texas Toast) and their tater tots with cheese and jalepenos. Good burgers too. Oh; and highly functional chilidogs!!
But for burgers, the one I would probably grab first, if I went back, most likely - a whopper.
OK, so McD and Wendy sell more fries than anything, but those are a side. What is their biggest sandwich/entree?
I myself loved the Mc Chicken Wrap and when it first was possible to order it in my country, I ordered it each time I got to the McDonalds. Sadly they fucked it up by changing a few items in it and now I do not order it anymore. Though, the new burgers, actual burgers, not that one from a euro, do taste great and are a staple of when I go out to eat there. But the thing I do order the most is the simple ice cream. I love the fact that here in the Netherlands, when you have black people making the ice cream, you get way more, then if white people do it. Really makes me appreciate them more, as I do really love those ice creams.
Oeh I wanna have that firehouse shop here :P
The very best sandwich at Subway is, of necessity, on the "secret" menu. I refer, of course, to the Human Flesh Special.
Church's biscuits are pretty prime
Does Boston market still exist? Haven’t seen it in years
Have one here, but doesn't do very well...our farmers market serves better
There’s one right by my house, another right by my work and another just in the next town over. I love it.
In the fast food world industry you have to look at the market and the prices and the bestseller, and look to improve on what you have by asking the customer what can I do better for the product.
Beautiful mid 70s Country Squire. 0:10
I lived in Texas for 12 years in the 70's and 80's. One thing I miss is Church's Chicken. It's not as greasy as KFC and the mashed potatoes don't taste like artifically processed . The gravy really sets it off as well and the rolls are soft and tasty. not hard and bricklike as KFCs. But the real treat is the japalenos that came with. A bite of chciken , roll, and japaleno was Heaven.
a nice list i see, so any Carl's JR or Mooyah's lovers here? ^^
Subway sandwiches are smaller compared to a month and a half ago . Even the bread was smaller 😢
Lots of beautiful pictures of burgers here in this video but in real life the only place with burgers that look like their ads is Wendy's. The others, especially Sonic, look puny and have that run-over-by-a-semi look. The photos of JIB's tacos doesn't look like any tacos I've seen at their restaurants.
CHURCH SPICY FRIED CHICKEN AND POPEYES SPICY CHICKEN AND BURGER KING BBQ BACON CHICKEN AND WHOPPERS
Let me correct that opening of the video for you.
"Do you find fast food menus intimidating? Try out our sponsor, better help and get therapy"
#1 menu item at Jack-in-the-Box used to be salmonella 😆
Chipotle in my area is famous for that too.
When I feel like eating a Subway I always get the monster and I always double the steak double the peppercorn Ranch double pepper jack cheese and I always get peppers and onions that monster at Subway is delicious
I love the whopper, but haven't find a burger king with decent service, double quarter pounder will have to do.
Mickey D’s fries are no longer as good as they used to be - at least where I live! Many places have much better, crispier ones!
I wish the KFC's in my town weren't run so poorly. I really love their food but I won't go there anymore because every time I go they forget to put at least one item in my bag and the drive thru people they get act like you're bothering them lol.
Same here. The slowest and worst service, but the best fried chicken.
Technically every set if meal comes with potato fries and I never really see people change that option, which is why it's the most ordered item?
Hello #ShakeShack I hope you come to Canada soon!
I'm hungry!
A lot of people don’t know this but the first kfc was in Salt Lake City
You left out Jersey Mike's Subs
Subway has different subs in it's Canadian Subway Series. At least the names are different.
The Whopper is my least favorite "signature" burger. It's sloppily made whenever I order one and the flame broil lacks the caramelization of a griddle-cooked patty.
i avoid bk because of their service. you could be the only one in there and it will still take 10 mins to get your order and most likey get it wrong.
Very good video! As far as Sonic? We haven't been to a Sonic since they stopped serving the Chicago Dog. Shame on them!!!
I am quite surprised that Jack-In-The-Box's most ordered item is the tacos. They SUCK. But I guess if you've smoked a lot of grass during the day, you have the munchies, and you want something really cheap - they WILL fill the bill.
wow can't believe that at almost every place the favorite pick was not one of mine....I guess I'm weird or that is the reason places have expanded menus...idk.
Just a couple of examples
Sonic : tater tots
Whatburger: Taquitos
Burger King: Original chcken sandwich
Jack in the Box: Egg rolls
Subway: Tuna
Taco Bell: Mexican pizza
Boston Market: Meatloaf
Similar with me
Wendy's chili
Taco bell nacho supreme (discontinued)
Arbys chicken bacon Swiss
Subway meatballs
Wendys got the best poutine imo
Arbys "roast beef" taste like cardboard to me. All I can taste is the strong sauce 😢
2023 Chicago Portillo's Hot Dogs & Italian Beefs are in 11 States and They are Coming.
Arby’s is nastay!
For McDonald's, I ALWAYS buy the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Burger ya! The Rest are already ShrinkFlation.
Ever since the 90s when Mcdonald's switched from beef tallow to veg oil, their fries have never been as good. Theyre still good, but not as good as they were before.
Jack in the box tacos are now 1.99 !!, so they're a dollar each !!!
Damn you inflation!!
If you could only eat at one of these places for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Popeyes..spicy chicken sandwich
In N Out double double animal style, fries animal style extra crispy.
If I had to choose from this list it would be Wendy's but my personal favorite restaurant is my local bar with food that blows them all out of the water. I go there so often they named a meal after me... Hellhounds dog bowl
@@nolongeranurse3369 the blackened chicken is so much better. I get it plain with spicy BBQ sauce none of the garbage it comes with. Pickles are for burgers not chicken
@hellhound1389 I get extra spicy sauce extra pickles..
We just got the blackened ones here
When done well they are better...unfortunatly half the time they are jerky
my wife and kids are Filipino, If you asked my kids, Jollibee's best item is spaghetti. If you ask my wife, it's the peach mango pies. The chicken might sell more, but it's nowhere near the favorite among Filipinos
I can eat McDonald's fries without feeling sick afterward. I can't say the same for their burgers.
You're not eating enough then.
The owners of several all-you-can-eat buffets would disagree with you.
because the fries arent real potatoes
I’ve never had hot fries at Wendy’s.
Our Wendy's is always packed unlike BK which was voted worst burger in town
9:00 American cheese on tacos?? Hell naw!!
melts better than any other cheese, so hell yeah!!
McDonald's Fries, when they are super-hot and fresh, are the quintessential Platonic Ideal of what a French Fry should be. No simple French Fry will ever surpass it. And Yes, I am 65, old enough to have had their Fries fried in tallow. I even made them that way. Those were perfect, and will never be equaled, but the current iteration is 99.8% of the way there and will never be bettered.
I'm surprised that A&W isn't on this list. Maybe it is and I just skipped over it
I doubt that fries are the most bought item.
They are simply bundled into every menu.
Fast food "over 1 billion killed"
As someone that works at Jack in on the box the price of the tacos is not 99 cents they are a 1.84
Beef tallow is better than “vegetable” oil because they use seeds not vegetables in that poison.
For me it's 1)McDs Fish Filet. 2) BK Original Chicken Sandwich. 3) Subways BMT. But I stopped eating at Subways over a decade ago. 4) Arby's crinkle cut ff and any of their fish items when offered. 5) Chick-fil-A - Nothing. I don't like them period. Everything is over salty. 6) Chipotle veg bowl or veg burrito. 7) Taco Bell pinto bean/rice burrito and nachos. 8) Wendy's varies. I rarely ever go. 9) Whataburger - Never lived near one. 10) Panda Express. Chow mien and super greens always. 11) Smash Burger - Never lived near one. 12) Little Caesars. Never ate there even tho I have one down the road. 13) Jack In The Box. Egg rolls, jumbo jack. 14) Churches Chicken - Never lived near one. 14) Jollibee - Never lived near one. 15) KFC. Original only, prefer the breasts and mash. 16) Long John Silvers - Never tried them even tho I do have on near me. 17) Raising Canes - Never lived near one. 18) Firehouse Subs - Never tried them. 19) Boston Market - Never lived near one. 20) DQ the chicken basket and the buster bar or dilly bar. 21) In-N- Out - Never lived near one. 22) Shake Shack - Never lived near one. 23) White Castle - Never lived near one. 24) Wing Stop. Never been to one but I do have one near me. 25) Sonic. Nothing.
what? churchs mashed potatoes? where did you get this answer from? their popular item is their honey butter buscuits....those things are off the chain and their pickled jalapenoes are amazing. drizzle that juice on the chicken and go to town
I actually rarely go to Burgerking, Because we don't have one close bye. To get to Burger King I have to drive like more then an hour. So it's not worth my time/energy/effort to get one. Sad, because they do have some nice items on the menu. Like the McFlurry M&M copy does taste a lot better. And those burgers are good. And KFC really has to struggle with there chicken.
Madison Square Park?
What about Five Guys. Why didn’t they make this list.😧
KFC...Basically my favorite fast food chain. When I was a kid we would go to Schiphol Airport to watch some airplanes. And after we went there we always went to the KFC next to the A4 and I got to order a 50 pieces hot wings bucket. Even the fire brigade couldn't put out that fire in my ass, it was so goddamn hot and painfull. But oh god it was totally worth it as it was so freaking good I asked for it a lot. But then, after years of waiting and hoping it would come closer to my home, like now it's just 5 minutes drive away instead of a hour. It didn't became my favorite snack anymore. It's so weird how it changed. Though the taste is still the same and it's still as good. Since I am able to make my own hot spicy/sweet wings at home for WAY less money (oh and time, as in you have to wait goddamn long for your bucket). I just don't go as often anymore. Basically only go when I wanna eat chicken and don't wanna cook. Though now I am getting hungry again.
With Culver's, it has to be their cheese curds.
Culver's has the best fish sandwich in the market, hands down.
No offence. Absolutely love the BK hopper. Only had it flame grilled the first week the openend in RSA. Since then it may be seared and then kept in a steamer that robs it of that flavour. BK are welcome to come with me and test any of their stores...average tasteless meat.. even worst than McD...which is very low
Interesting video though I would have to say picking Fries or Mashed Potatoes as most-ordered item is a bit of a cop-out. Considering how many menu items are sold as meals including those items as sides, how could they not be most ordered (except for Burger King whose fries are awful).
I figured the most ordered item at McDonald’s would’ve been their chicken nuggets
Wow, I look at these pictures of these sandwiches and they don't look ANYTHING like what you end up getting from the restaurant. They all look at least twice as tall as they are. Arby's, for example, never has a pile of beef. Sometimes, you can barely find any. I really don't know why it's okay to lie just because it's advertising. Oh, yeh, I forgot - companies make the laws.
The only thing really worth having at sonic is their many milkshake flavors and large drink menu. All their fried food tastes like it's fried in oil that was changed in 2011. Their burgers are meh. Hot dog tastes like gas station quality. Most of the quality of their food is actually about what I would expect at a gas station.
You didn’t mention Five Guys
it's not fast - and it's not food - so I don't think they count
