Joab is one of the most metal guys in the Bible. This guy took things in his own hands and successfully pulls off all his plans. He saw the folly of the king and knew it wasn’t right sometimes and wrong sometimes and always defended it. He certainly did not obey the king all the time. He always did what was necessary. He isn’t perfect but I admire the guy. A real legend if you believe this stuff actually happened like I do.
@@teamgods-stars2446 Yeah you're right. That subject was touched on in another TH-cam channel. Some people even went back and forth as to the point where some people believed Joab had to have harbored to much brutality in his heart to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven..
@@josephpendleton4927 I watched your video. I agree with your points about Joab but I still agree with @teamgods-stars that Joab sinned. He shouldn't have taken things into his own hand.
❤ I love Joab! Sunday school was when i was introduced to JOab and became intrigued with his fierceness, loyalty and committment. I am just sad that he was not more spiritual like his uncle King David.
Excellent exposition Sir. Another thing Joab did was to make the king rethink his decision to conduct a census(2 Sam 24) which when King David refused brought a lot of death and trouble on Israel. An extremely great man by all standards, Joab.
I love Joab’s story. He was an absolute warrior. I was surprised when David made it his dying wish that Solomon makes sure Joab doesn’t die of old age.
This is a very excellent presentation, sermon! I have listened to this at least 7 times. I want to eat and drink all the Word of God. This covers much.
I don't think that Joab was like Judas. Let's not forget, that David used Joab to kill Uriah. I agree that Joab should not have killed those three men.
Joab was a righteous man. It is just that Books of 2 Samuel and 1 Kings deceptively paints Joab as a corrupt man in order to hide the wicked nature of David. I exposed this truth in my video on Joab and David.
He was a man. A brilliant man. A brutal man. An effective man. A dangerous man. He was a man. Only God knows the final state of his heart. We only have what he did, and a legacy to look back and draw wisdom from.
Joab did war even in peace. Solomon's Kingdom was to be a kingdom of peace for the building of God's Holy Temple. David knew Joab would not maintain peace or righteousness but would always seek dominance thro betrayal bloodletting even the innocent (Solomon ) if Joab deemed the rightful king to be his brother.
Joab didn't do anything wrong. It is just that Books of 2 Samuel and 1 Kings deceptively paints Joab as a corrupt man in order to hide the wicked nature of David. I exposed this truth in my video on Joab and David.

If you cannot see through Joab you will be taken in by the antichrist. The Bible is Not deceptive as you say. That is the "Word" become flesh. Yeshua, Jesus. When confronted with his sin David repented. He, David like everyone was ( like Moses ) up against the God of this world and kept falling til after the death of Absalom. This was his wilderness; I am still in mine. Bless you.

Yes a legend that was buried in his house in the desert. His house was in the desert can you believe?
I’ve listen to this teaching at least six maybe seven times. I’m fascinated every time I hear it. This guy knows how to teach scripture..
He was my favorite character in the Bible. I was sad when he died.
He made some crucial mistakes /sins. It's sad he made some very wrong decisions and ended the potential of young lives.

Wow well done I could listen to this man speak on Joab for another hr.
❤ I love Joab! Sunday school was when i was introduced to JOab and became intrigued with his fierceness, loyalty and committment. I am just sad that he was not more spiritual like his uncle King David.
I love the little speech Joab gave David after he dealt with Absalom’s revolt. When David was wallowing in pity, he came in and straighten him up.
This preacher is great! Well spoken and full of truth! Thank you Jesus. Amen ✝️

Loving this teaching 46 mins in. Will probably comment more properly later

Great teacher
And people say the old testament is boring. There are so many interesting people like Abnar or Joab.
yes queen esther, prophetess judith, abigail wife of david, jonathan bestfriend of david, boaz
ohh soo many more *chuckles

The treacherous absalom and Amasa certainly deserved to die becus they both commited high treason, I'm not too sure about Abner
One more thing is Joab is not listed in name of David's mighty men but Abhisaih and Azahel were
Joab was leader of all those listed in 2 Samuel 23
God achieves his purpose thru sinful men. Fascinating character, David needed him. Was he a good guy or bad?
He was more of an antihero who's only drive and ambition in life was to serve and protect the throne at all cost

He was very decisive which was good at times and was bad at times. A good general and adviser. Brave and courageous.

You know something I believe?
Joab is in heaven
Solomon is not
