No Name Pistol-Grip Airbrush - Chinese Iwata clone Testing and Review
    Intro - 0:05
    Instructions - 1:06
    Weight and features - 2:32
    Testing - 5:14
    Conclusion - 9:35
A lot can be said about this airbrush. It looks the same as Iwata Revolution TR series of airbrushes. Only visually though. It works, however the quality, the feel and the satisfaction correspond to the price.
For $27-$28, this airbrush is having tough time justifying the expense. Such airbrushes can go as high as $70, depending on where you're at.
The airbrush is a good start-up tool and can be used as an emergency-tool, in case your main airbrush gets damaged or becomes unusable in the middle of some important spray session.
It can be used for basic painting for sure, but for advanced works it will probably be unreliable. With time you will encounter problems that are not typical for standard high-end airbrushes, but on the other hand, they cost 10-20 times more.
For example Iwata Revolution - amzn.to/2SveTdi - costs times more. However in this case, the quality has a price. You might go with Sparmax GP series: amzn.to/2EhZ5HF and the quality will be better - that is guaranteed.
The only truly valuable thing with this Chinese Knock-Off is the plastic handle, which if you decide to buy for Iwata, you might have to pay as much as this airbrush itself - amzn.to/2KZivSk
So, in case you are wondering where to spend 30-50 bucks, this might not be a bad idea. Just as a spare of course, nothing more.

I found one like this with .3 .5 and .8mm needles/nozzles included put out by Point Zero for $47.00 US. Would it be good enough to spray spazstix candy paints for my Rc bodies? I already have an Iwata Neo CN, NEO BCN ,Revolution, and the TRN2 Pistol Grip. But I use them for my water based paints like Faskolor,Wicked, and Pro-Line airbrush paints. I'm just needing an airbrush for enamels and large coverage areas. Would this be ok for that? Spazstix candy paints are already thinned and need no reducing. I just don't want to use any of my Iwata's for enamel or lacquer paints.

Since it's a iwata knockoff would the iwata fan cap fit on this

IT IS NEW , it needs a break in period for the nozzle and needle to mate up (the chrome plating is the usual fault), i would suggest a drop of fine diamond lapping paste or polishing compound and spin the nozzle on the needle to get it seated (this process is skipped in the factory because of cost). people need to understand that cheap is not crap, it just needs a little of your time. if you are fulltime pro then buying premium tools is just common sense, if you are just a hobbist then this is a good strong contender as the money saved can go onto other supplies that can be important at startup. by far this 'should not be your only airbrush' as the grip dose not give you the best wrist control. keep your paints wet, air dry and let the art flow out.

I think a good cleaning before use, preferably with an ultrasonic cleaner. And polishing the needle will much improve the quality. These are not difficult to do, but I suppose as a beginner who doesn't do any DIY stuff before this it would be tricky to do this. This brush might not be the best for a beginner to use, but i think can be quite useable to someone with a little more experience. Being able to save money anywhere is a great thing. Getting a branded brush with good quality control is great, but is not the only way to get good results. That's a balance between tool quality and user skill.

How can this be a Chinese knock off when most stuff is made in China!
Nice video, very good in depth review compared to others on the same subject. You discuss the the subject, not how you are going to use it.

I bought the master airbrush version of this gun, haven't had a chance to give it a go yet. Hoping it's as easy and versatile as this video shows.

You should first of all take off the needle cap and give the airbrush some more use before judging.

After about 100 pieces this will wear in and be a go to gun...give it some time.

What a piece of crap. For how it performs, it is a very expensive tool.
