Dollmaker potion is THE best way to fuck up armoured foes, they become unable to sprint and they tire much faster. Put some on your mace, and watch them become stiff as a board.

Here's an option you missed, in the bathhouse: You can actually take all of Capon's clothes and dress in them, and with a good enough speech check you can pass yourself off as Capon in the cellar when the guard confronts you. This is an option I've missed in 15 playthroughs but someone pointed it out just recently. There is specific dialog for this option. Henry says something like, "Don’t you recognize me?"
I used to too, for exactly the same reason you do, but I found that sometimes Cornelious goes to sleep permanently and you can't speak to him. So to avoid that I just give him a bucket job. Besides, Tonda tries to blackmail Henry so I don't feel too inclined to help him :D
I think Kornelius should be carrying shit for bigger pay. He really needs that boost in wealth and his experience indicates he can do some accounting. After asking him about the job he was pleased with double pay, after a little argumentation:p 20:22 Woowow that's brilliant! Oursource fighting evil to other evil. Just attack bandits dressed as cuman at night with bludgeon and run away without killing them. And with doing all the details mentioned, some things can go wrong. I think it's part of roleplay to not saveload after making mistakes and embody them as an evolution of character's personality. Forgetting something minor and doing stuff without guides makes the most immersive experience.
One of the great tragedies is that clothing usually affects how people treat you but the Magic Cuman gear doesn't. So you can't actually start a fight between them but it's my head canon and I'm going to dress up to kill the bandits!
Kornelius is not as needy as the others, he says it himself when you offer him the shit carrying job, all he wants is to earn the trust and respect of the Bailiff to get an administrative job.
Who's Kornelian? If you mean the reward for clearing bandit camps you get it if you're sent there by the two capitains, then when you got back you get rewarded.

Ok so question: when you said if u offer Antonia a potion you can’t examine her husband soooo did you not offer it and just go see the husband or how did u get to him? I’ve never seen him or spoken to him… Interesting play through I think your videos have gotten better and better with each one, but I’m just missing some decisions here and there to understand things I think.. it’s tough tho- I can’t imagine editing all this content as you have and adding text and spoken word. Re Antonia's husband, he's at the refugee camp down the ladder near the entrance to Rattay. The way it's meant to go is that you speak to Antonia and offer to help with her husband, then you go and give him a lazarus (you could do this in previous patches), and speak to Antonia again. But the dialogue doesn't allow you do inspect the husband and goes straight into the alternative of offering Antonia of a potion to help her work.

Somewhat random question: is a longsword and shield viable? I only see longsword being used separately. I tried used short sword and shield but the reduced range is making it difficult to adjust to.
in my second playthrough I completely forgot about the bender you go on with Capon, I got to the end of the game and the quest was no longer available :(
It was listed in old videos that are now private but the rules are: - No training combat skills beyond 5 before defeating Runt, above 10 before Jezhek, and above 15 until the Monastery is done. Natural progression through combat allowed. - Wearable armour limited by Defence skill. Wearing armour in combat needs to be learned. General guidelines are: 0-5 only padded and cloth armour (excluding utility items like leather gloves), 5-10 leather and mail, 10-15 mail and brigandine, 15+ any armour including full plate. - Aim to wear suitable armour for the situation, e.g. full plate in set battles only, otherwise wear traveling armour. - Changing clothes and repairing take time so they can only be done at night. - All armour and clothing must be purchased to simulate that clothing isn't one size fits all. The exception is for items that only spawn on enemies, but they must be repaired at a shop initially. - No looting of armour for sale and no mounting horses when overloaded. Shops wouldn't buy clothes torn to rags. - Skills must be raised via a trainer at first, i.e. like how reading needs to learned. Exceptions are ones that you obviously don't need to learn, e.g. drinking. Reading is also a pre-requisite to Alchemy. Plus apply "nomoslowmo" mod to remove combat slowdowns.

I'd convince the potential shit carriers by telling them theyre actually equally if not more important than the others. Making civilized life possible for the rest of the people of Rattay.
The thing is that nobody wants to do jobs like that, no matter how important they are to society as a whole. Henry does stress that they'd make twice as much and most of them still refused to have anything to do with it.

And a new kid in the group responded with, "That's so boring! Don't you understand this game is about COMBAT?!" Some people, if you give them a stick, they see a spear, a club, a sword, a probing tool, a walking stick, a bow... other people just see a stick.
you can tell easily when you see HC videos - there's no stamina/hp bar or targeting star on enemy or compass. it makes the game.. real challenge, one i feel not taking yet, 250hrs in :)
@@vine01 the most interesting part is navigation. You feel like really being in that world. It's worth it and I made second walkthrough as Merciful Virgin Hardcore Henry with all negative perks just before 250hrs.

I usually give the job to Tonda, because you can get Cornelius as a merchant in Prybislavitz.

Whenever I faced runt he doesnt have a helmet
He's bareheaded in normal mode but he gets a helmet in hardcore mode because it's too easy to beat him by going for the head.
