  • Grant Hill and the second-ranked Duke Blue Devils make the trip to Winston-Salem to take on Randolph Childress, freshman sensation Tim Duncan and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, in a battle of the ACC's elite.
Game played on Sunday, February 13, 1994 at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

It is hard to believe now but Wake Forest owned Duke in the mid-1990s when Duncan and Childress were there. From 1994 to 1997 they went 8-1 against the Blue Devils and Duncan actually was 4-0 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Yup...A lot of people forget that Tim Duncan during his freshman year played against Grant Hill and Jason Kidd. I agree with you about Randolph Childress, he was a beast from the three-point line.

Although this was the start of the Tim Duncan legend, Wake Forest in 94 was Randolph Childress' team

Childress was a god in the ACC, nobody could guard him.

To thecozzman89, I like these old videos of past games you put for us and very appreciative of you, hey, I was wondering if you have a video of the '95 NCAA Tournament game between Wake Forest and Oklahoma State, it was the game that Tim Duncan outplayed Bryant "Big Country" Reeves, if you have it, much appreciated, thanks.

Need the WFU-UNC game from 1995(?), the one where the sophomore TD absolutely stoned Rasheed Wallace in Chapel Hill and was anointed the overall #1 player by Jerry West.

Too bad Randolph Childress had to sit behind Clyde Drexeler and Terry Porter in Portland and had to sit behind Grant Hill Joe Dumars and Lindsey Hunter in Detroit.......would be good to see him in the NBA

Yes. The 1991 and 1992 games against Duke (at the Joel) and the 1993 NCAA Tournament games against Iowa and Kentucky. I plan on uploading them soon.

Wake Forest was a wrecking ball in the ACC. Coming from a Duke fan perspective, probably was the best back then.

I don't have these matchups right now. One of my sources has the ESPN Classic version from 1994. I'm looking for the ones that are original though.

This was classic nineties Randolph was great at Wake but Grant Hill was a star at Detroit he was the next Jordan before he got injured he was a seven time all star and would have been maybe a thirty thousand point scorer if not for injuries. Randolph was good but he should have been sitting behind Grant!!
