    The ending theme always gets me. It's such a reassuring 'goodbye' song. This game means a whole lot to me. I was 5 when it came out here in the US and I'd watch my brother play it. When I got around to being old enough to play it, it really stuck with me. First game I beat, too, I believe. It's such a thoughtful, emotional experience.

    If there is best singular JRPG it is called Chrono Trigger. Visually stunning, dramatically coherent, musically exquisite and made by team of best of the best of best just enjoying art of their work. They created a masterpiece. This musical piece is just the period at end of last phrase of every story: THE END.

    MIDI was one of the things that made the SNES a musical powerhouse in the 16 bit era. So many amazing video games pieces came out at this time, and you can still enjoy the OST, or take the MIDI file and have fun experimenting with modern virtual instruments. Not to mention print out the music and have it played with real life instruments.

    • @vksasdgaming9472
      @vksasdgaming9472 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was special 8-bit chip designed by Sony with eight tracks. Sega Genesis used commercially available six tracked sound chip. Not an expert, but Nintendo seems to have technically better sound chip.

    • @JohnCrawford1979
      @JohnCrawford1979 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vksasdgaming9472 - Sega had a fairly popular FM chip that was used in a lot of arcade games at the time. But yes, the super NES had more of a standard MIDI setup. This helps since the Super NES would have the basic set of standard MIDI instruments available, ready to interpret the MIDI music data that uses a very small amount of memory. Even today, if you create a song with modern virtual instruments, while the instruments can be several Gb the MIDI it reads the song information off of might be 5 - 100 KB.

    • @JohnCrawford1979
      @JohnCrawford1979 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vksasdgaming9472 - Sega had a decent FM sound chip that was used in many arcade games at the time. Yet it does show what advancements were made within a few years. For sound, SNES may have had an 8-bit chip, but was slightly under CD quality for the time. Afterall, Windows was still on 3.1, and it would be 3 years until Creative's Soundblaster AWE 32 would come out with soundfonts as we know them today. But MIDI was becoming standardized, and the SNES benefitted from that. For the console could hold the basic standard instrument bank that would interpret the MIDI files, along with any coding about effects or instrument patches.

    • @vksasdgaming9472
      @vksasdgaming9472 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JohnCrawford1979 Those chips are weird part of history. If I recall correctly SNES had exactly same CPU as NES had - MOS 6502. SNES came after Megadrive so naturally they could have slightly better machine. Both deserve respect.

    • @JohnCrawford1979
      @JohnCrawford1979 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vksasdgaming9472 - No, it did not 'exactly the same' CPU. That would be like saying an Intel i5 from 2017 is exactly the same as a current generation i5 in a brand new computer bought in 2024. Yes, they were made by Intell, and their both branded as i5, but there's 7 years of development between the two CPUs with a variety of bug fixes and enhancements.
      The NES MOS 6504, AKA Ricoh 2A03 and clocked in at 1.79 MHz. The SNES MOSS 6504 is the Ricoh 5A22, a superset of the 65C816 that was exclusively supplied to Nintendo. The CPU employs a variable clock speed that will reach up to 3.58 MHz during register operations and down to 1.79 MHz when accessing the slowest buses (i.e. the serial/controller port). For compatibility reasons, the CPU always starts in ‘emulation’ mode (pure 6502) and it’s up to the program to switch to a particular ‘native’ mode to enable 16-bit functionality. On a side note, it’s amusing how Intel’s x86 still applies the same modus operandi on their modern CPUs.
      Dropping out of tech jargon, basically, it was believed that at one time during development, Nintendo may have wanted to make the NES and Super NES compatible, however they also wanted an updated, 16-bit MOS. The MOS is no small fry, being that Apple, Atari, and Commodore used their chipsets in their legendary computer lines. But people ought not confuse the CPUs. 16-bit CPUs had been around since late 70's and early 80's, but the tech wasn't able to utilize it yet. This is similar to how the N64 had a 64-bit CPU, but no one saw it utilized since most games were developed on computers that ran 32 bit operating systems and game kits used to for development were 32 bit. It took until 2014 before any major development led to the full on adoption of 64 bit. Plus, some might argue that the 8 bit mode was meant for the Game Boy color.

      This theme and visual end credit 'goodbye' roll do the opposite for me. It's beautiful but simultaneously terrifying. The terminal finality of it, the sheer scale of the world, time and space, how insignificant all these people's lives and their grand adventures become as you see them one last time waving goodbye. It makes you realize how meaningless all this is, that our lives are nothing but a tiny grain of sand on a vast and endless beach. There's beauty in it sure, but I can't shake the feeling of insignificance that is attached to it.

    Que a Graça do Nosso Deus no Senhor Jesus toque no corações de TODOS VCS!!!!!🙏🏻🙌🏻
    A Graça/Bondade de Deus É ESTA:
    Em que nós sendo pecadores sem condições de sermos perfeitos - pq nascemos como escravos do pecado - não temos condições de cumprir a Obra de Obediência Perfeita sem pecado que Deus considera como A VERDADEIRA BOA/PERFEITA/APROVADA/AGRADÁVEL OBRA para nos Salvar, então Ele nos concedeu o Seu Filho pra cumprir esta Obra de Obediência Perfeita sem pecado e assim pela Fé possamos abraça-la e pedir a Deus que troque o nosso coração velho, pecador e desobediente pelo Coração Novo, Perfeito e Obediente do Seu do Filho e assim podermos sermos salvos!!!
    Esvazie-se de si mesmo:
    Perante Ele em oração:
    Assuma sua fraqueza;
    Assuma sua Imperfeição;
    Confesse q é pecador;
    Peça um Coração Novo;
    Peça um Coração Obediente a Deus;
    Peça q a Obra do Seu Filho pra te Salvar seja derramada no seu Coração!!!
    Assinat:
    FORTE ABRAÇO e TUDO de BOM com Jesus!
    FAÇAMOS de Deus/Jesus o SENHOR SUPREMO de nossas vidas para Herdamos o Reino de Deus!!!!
