I just got mine last week, exact same model I also got mulch kit, so far I’m very happy with it , 48 inch just right for the number of trees on my properties. Seat is awesome , I want to put it in my truck.
Picking mine up in two days. I was a tad concerned with the 21hp. But it seems to be quite adequate for this set up. Does it feel under powered at all to you?
Yes I too would have loved to have seen a 23 hp engine used but I have 5 hrs on it, besides being very thirsty the engine doesn't seem to lack at all, the seat is amazing! You will love it! let me know how it goes for you.
@@dykstradave3955 you said "very thirsty". I'm looking at the exact same machine right now (one is at the dealer 3 miles away) but wondering just how much fuel you're talking about. Like how much does it use in an hour? Thanks!
Crazy thirsty - but after two tanks through it, it now sips fuel!! Needed those first tanks to really get broke in. At first I couldn’t do my whole property on a tank (2 acres +/-) now at 40 hrs on the clock I can nearly do it 3x on the same fuel amount.
Have this zero turn. Advise getting mulch kit. Wonderful piece of machinery that does great job. Also got liquid tank fertizer tow behind. Plenty of power with some inclines. Very happy. Dealer gave me great deal on my trade in Kubota too.
i belong to a number of various tractor forums, they all suffer some parts back log, fortunately our local Kubota dealership seems well stocked. Heck I ordered a Can Am side by side in April and they still haven't seen it delivered. It is strange times.
Two things they need to fix. They need to ditch the big wheel thin tire setup. There is a reason nobody else does that and that is ride quality. Front tire need to be wider that’s the cheapest tire something like you would get on a 2000 dollar craftsman
Love my Kubota MX 6000 tractor but, when it comes to zero turn mowers and a bad back nothing can compare to a Ferris with full suspension at all 4 wheels! Just sayin.
It’s true one bad experience can leave a person doubting the whole line. And the Ferris are the Cadillac of zero turns, I bet you are greatly enjoying it!
Do not do this! Read the owner's manual it says to engage it at full speed this allows slipping if you regularly engage it at low speed you will start breaking parts on the deck (tensioner, belts, bearings) Kubota has had a problem with that for years. My brother had one and used to break a tensioner spring every 3 months. He started engaging it at full speed and no problem from then on out. Engage it at full speed and turn the engine off at full speed as per the owner's manual. Doing this will save you a lot of headache and heartache down the road. Unless you like buying belts, tensioner springs, and bearings then go ahead and engage it at low speed. I'm sure your dealer will be happy and gladly take your money lol!
Great mower. Purchased a 422 couple of weeks ago. I really enjoy using it. Kubota makes great machines.

A prospective buyer should check TH-cam for the stories of Kubota owners and their trying to get service from Kubota dealerships. 😆

Engage and disengage your blades in low revs to save your clutch.
