Nothing hits like Tender! The first time I ever heard them was when I stumbled across “Slow Love” one sad day and I was in sweet, uncontrollable tears within seconds! I don’t think that’s ever happened to me in my life… Where I was brought to tears immediately after hearing a song for the first time…. And it wasn’t because of the terrible day I was having; it was because that song pierced through my hard exterior and made sense of the maddening anguish in my heart. It perfectly describes my past relationship that I still feel nostalgic and yet resentful about. For the first time in a long time, I found a perfect convergence of all the emotions & epiphanies I was feeling that gave me the most enrapturing, full-bodied auricular experience. That’s why I made a point to travel 90 miles, despite not having much money for gas, to go see them live when they recently visited the States. And, just as I expected, they captivated my soul immediately. And they were gracious enough to stick around after the show to meet a long line of fans, including myself. I was pretty nervous at the time so I didn't really know what to say to the ones who brought some light back into the ominous darkness brought on by the erosion of life. I was also having a very sad day that day too, but just like the last time, Tender whispered their raw, humbling lyrics into my soul and lifted my entire being with their nectarous melodies. It reduced me to a position of subservience that was beautiful and meaningful. That’s what I really wanted to tell them when I met them, but the words escaped me when I was presented with the opportunity. I honestly cannot wait to see them again and I would stop at nothing to get there. You have a fan for life, Tender! Thank you so much for what you’ve created and for taking the time to meet your fans that day! I hope to meet you again and wish you all the success you deserve!

I'm currently on my first listen, hearing it for the first time, but I'm glad to hear that this is one of those songs that keeps getting better. There are some songs that sound great the first dozen times you replay it but then after you kill the replay button the song starts to get weird and lose it's edge...but then there are songs that just never die and only continue to sound sweeter each time you hear it, those ones are rare.
