Glad to find this channel as the Asia parks are surely under represented on TH-cam. One question I’ve had about Tokyo Disneyland ever since my visit, why such a lack of pins?
Great question! The story I’ve heard is that they were actually too popular here and it created a lot of problems with resellers and crowding in the shops. Then again a couple of weeks ago there was a 4 hour queue to buy 40th anniversary merch so who knows 😅
@@8bitthemepark That makes a lot of sense, considering how popular merchandise like Duffy is. Talking of which, have you heard about how insane Disneyland Shanghai has been for Duffy’s friend LinaBell?
@@TobiasBroad Yep! It’s crazy that you can meet Lina Bell in Shanghai but not in Tokyo! Shanghai Disneyland are doing great right now, hoping I can go soon
That's too bad about Swiss Family Treehouse, i hope they open that back up soon. I was thinking that didnt open up with the park, i was thinking that opened a few years later.
Other key attractions that are gone are Meet the World, Grand Prix Raceway, Star Jets, The Eternal Sea, Magic Journeys, Circle-Vision’s Magic Carpet Round the World and American Journeys, Visionarium, Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour , Captain EO, MicroAdventure and one interesting tidbit is the Small World Restaurant.
@@WDWCentral Meet the World originally had a world map on the ceiling of its first room. In Monster's inc, a similar world map can be seen in the ceiling of the queue, but more colorful and cartoony. I haven't watched Monster's inc. in a long time, so I'm not sure if the map is from the movie or if it's supposed to reference the previous attraction. One thing I really wish they kept from the Meet The World is the really cool fountain outside the building.
I saw the Mickey Mouse Revue at Tokyo Disneyland and it's wild for me to think I was watching the actual show that was at the Magic Kingdom on opening day of that park.
I really hope they keep some of those murals/art of the old Space Mountain. Would be nice to have a few references of it to look back to.
I hope so too! Although an update would also be fun!
I’d love a part two of this!
There’s definitely still more to cover so I’ll do one in the future for sure! Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh wow I knew about all the attractions but never the Small World Restaurant! Fascinating!
I miss Meet the World and the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour!
They were both gone before I ever came here unfortunately! 😢
Are there any Meet the World references anywhere?
The only one I know of is the map in monsters inc and part of its exterior façade. Other than that, I'm not too sure.
@@idk-zt8rx what do you mean by “the map”🧐 Isn’t it from the movie?
I’ve always tried to find them but have never been able to. There must be though, right?

That IS wild isn't it! Wish it was still there, I never got to see it myself.
