Thank you Holy Spirit for leading me to such wonderful teaching these last several years. What a blessing to be a “remote” member of Calvary Chapel Ontario.

@franciscojaviergonzalez4120 He just means that he watches regularly, but isn't actually a member of the church

I was unable to join in the online worship yesterday because of a power outage in my area. I am grateful for these paybacks . I look forward to benefiting from the message from Acts on the works of the Holy Spirit .

This is SO impactful! I accepted Christ as Savior in a Pentecostal church through a very clear gospel message - and unfortunately everything beyond that was doctrinal error, including the work of the Holy Spirit. I left that church after several years and have become a staunch cessationist beyond the idea that the Holy Spirit indwells us as believers. Period. It's fascinating how in recent months I'm being prompted (by the Holy Spirit 😊) to explore the working of the Holy Spirit in today's world. I am following your messages on the book of Acts. Thank you. 😊

God bless you pastor Paul I agree with you about Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. I am part of what is classed as a Pentecostal church but I really dislike the way we often divide people. Are you Baptist, Methodist charismatic or Pentecostal or evangelical….YES. Thankfully in the fellowship I am part of we teach again the unbiblical behaviour that you see in many churches.

I have really been enjoying these messages. One question I have is what Jesus was referring to in John 16:7, about the Holy Spirit not being able to come unless He goes away? What is this referring to and how does it relate to the filling of the Spirit or the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer?

So as Jesus ascended to heaven the holy spirit had descended , so it is the holy spirit that gives us faith in Jesus Christ

As the previous comment said, the Spirit was given after Jesus went to heaven. God gives believers the indwelling of the Spirit as a “seal” of our salvation and as a “guarantor.” John 6:27 and Ephesians 1:13-14
For whatever the reason, God chose to wait until the death and resurrection of Jesus, and the ascension, to give the Holy Spirit to those who believe.

I don't understand the criticism of Peter and the other apostles in the selection of a replacement for Judas. We accept everything else they do as inspired, why second guess them in this?
