    Thank you very much. I'm in my seventies and I must say I find your videos very instructive as well as beneficial. I especially like this exercise and will most certainly use it along with walking. I am a keen gardener and quite a few of these exercises are very beneficial in gardening and the two go well together. Keep up the good work, from New Zealand.

    Another great exercise routine. I am 72 and overweight with high BP. I am walking 6500 steps a day (my max average) and doing these BP exercises. Between Mr. Harlow and my medical team, I am finding much improved health! TIP for my senior friends - get your teeth looked at too!

    Has anyone tried these exercises and saw their blood pressure go down? I'm too lazy to try them but if some have seen improvements then I would definitely try them. My BP is borderline so need a bit of help. I should maybe add that I already play sports and weight training daily and sometimes twice daily. I find it hard to have enough time to do all these exercises 😂

    I really like your videos. I've watched a lot of your videos about the knees, and what you talk about makes sense and enhances what I have learned from research and my doctors. I am in my mid-fifties and I am a little proud that I do 30-second planks most days on my coffee breaks. Actually I was doing them for the ab muscles and in lieu of a second coffee. But I am happy to hear there are more benes. I will work in the wall squats on my breaks also. Please continue doing your videos: they are concise, digestible, re-watchable and extremely informative!

    Hi I've only just subscribed to your channel and I really appreciate your exercises unfortunately I have arthritis in my knees and find it difficult to kneel on the floor as I have twisted my knee also which is very painfull .but I am going to do the wall exercise but I couldn't do the plank. By the way youv got a fab pair of legs.

    • @joseenoel8093
      @joseenoel8093 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also had and no way could I do the plank (kids would uploads pics of them doing all over the place yrs back) kept at it and can do plank a few secs, can't wait to show my daughter! Remember arthritis is bod's reaction to injury, you gotta fix that injury, failure's not an option! We've many seniors here, seeing them at The Plaza on one cane going onto two is enough motivation, keep at it, I'm legally blind in one eye hence balance problem and past knee surgery, just a few clicks on inner knee now, I'll take it!

      Another way to make the plank easier is to put your elbows on a higher surface. I put my elbows on a stair with my legs straight a few days ago. You could use a counter top or a table or a low table. Maybe with a little padding.

    Its a bit counter intuitive since i associate these types of exercise with holding your breath whicj i think might raise blood pressure

    • @ianlongden1449
      @ianlongden1449 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He did mention to breathe as you do it. Look at 6.37. Holding your breath while doing these exercises has the wrong effect (apparently, I saw from another instructor).

  • @patirvin-bz9pg
    @patirvin-bz9pg ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you. I will try these. Comments show some people didn't catch that you said you should try to do 3 times a day and to breathe! Not hold your breath.

  • @pvspeaks

    How do these 2 exercises help with high BP? 🧐
    I think they are quad and core strengthening but without attention to breath they cannot help with high BP.

    • @HT-Physio
      @HT-Physio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Breathing definitely important but the study in the description shows the isometric holds helped to reduce BP in their participants.

    Watch for hidden salt (I consider salt imbombing fluid) hubby loves his salty peas (my daughter thinks they'll contain protein, nay!) I suggested he simply put them against his foot which gets a salt bath soak daily, you're welcome! Seriously pizza 🍕 is the planet's most addictive food and surely it's due to its high salt content!

      Actually natural salt/sodium is necessary for life. Use it sensibly but cut out all seed oils, deep fried foods.
