Went to Lenox Mall here in Georgia about 4 months ago and went to the Creed booth to smell Aventus and the sales lady there let me try Royal Oud. Fell in LOVE. Found out about this Afnan Had this bottle for about 2 months. I’ve gotten compliments EVERYTIME.
Bro, I still have like 20 ml of a 2016 batch of "Royal Oud". I savor TF out of that juice. I bought "King of Oudhania" to supplement the use of my OG Creed bottle. But yeah, been in love with this one for years. I will never use up this real bottle. Just gonna keep it in the collection, because I ain't paying 150 an ounce, lol..
Just got this, Oud for Glory, and Supremacy Intense. Thought my wife would hate them, she loves them all. It just hit mid 60s in Chicago on a damp day, and this is just hitting right now. Fantastic.
Recently tried a 2ml sample of creed royal oud was so excited. Sprayed it all on me loved the smell it’s basically old money rich life but the. Projection and lasting power was awful. I love the smell but not worth the 400 plus dollars
I know I've said a bunch of times in comments that I love Afnan Highness Green (and blue, both are worth getting) but that it doesn't smell more than 70% Royal Oud to me, so I feel slightly called out. I'm kidding, no two noses are the same, what smells like one thing to me might not smell exactly the same to you. Admittedly the Royal Oud I owned was only a 10ml decant, but I drained it and loved it and I plan on a full bottle at some point. Highness Green though, 100% worth getting, even at the $60 range. I get everything you mentioned and a slight gasoline note as well which I think came across to you as medicinal. The whole experience reminds me of cutting wood with a gas powered saw. The green and woody notes in it feel aggressively fresh. The leather is note designer friendly leather, but in a good way. It's less of a new leather jacket and more of a pair of leather work gloves. It's super masculine and attention grabbing for sure. There's certain fragrances that I'll wear for me, and some that I'll wear for other people, and I feel like this is one for me. When I wear it, I'm just aware that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but that's okay.

Get the Blue Highness one Dallas! It's amazing. Not on Fragrantica yet. Compliment getter w beast longevity and performance. More should get their nose on that one. The green is very good clone of Royal Oud too. I get the vibes of Polo Green aswell.

This one smells very similar to the deep dry down of Oud Wood Intense, like when it becomes a skin scent and the oud wears off and you’re left with just woods. It’s a great pickup for the price. I never smelled Royal Oud.
Man I must be someone who doesn't have enough experience with Royal Oud. I sampled it 3 or 4 months ago and loved it. Shortly after found this afnan being compared to it. Blind bought it and man, I just couldn't. I tried hard to like it but it was way too sharp and the smell was like chewing on a #2 pencil. Was impossible to get even one spray off of me and had a headache for the whole afternoon. I really am not getting what everyone else is getting. Royal Oud is light-years ahead of this one to me. I had to send it back and only got 60% of my money back which was a net positive after trying hard to like this.

I have paris corner ministry of oud, oud royal. Same like creed royal oud but sweeter because of added tonka bean. Just spray more for longer longevity.
I just watched your TH-cam video & I have to say that "His Highness Green" is not a clone of Royal Oud" or it's a very bad clone & does not smell the same as Royal oud. I have 4 x bottles of Royal Oud & have worn it on loads of occasions, is I am in a position to comment. I also have two bottles of "His Higness Green" but my bottles do not have 'III" printed ar the base of the bottle, so I am assuming that mine are early batches. I do like & wear His Highness Green also. Royal Oud is far superior though & the reason it has never been cloned is because it can't. As of yet, know one has been able to clone it.

I definitely get it,but I had the strangest thing happen to me while I was wearing Royal Oud. Me,my lady & friends were out at a restaurant,and a beautiful lady walked passed me,stopped,walked backwards then stepped to me,not caring about my girl standing there(Mind you,I thought the fragrance had worn off)and said,seductively,but loud*DAMD you smell good!*. Then my people chimed in,telling me how good I smelled. I went and splurged on the Royal Oud the next day after that😂…

This is kinda like Armaf Odyssey Homme in that both frags get compared to 2 completely different frags. This one (Royal Oud/Polo Green) and Odyssey (Invictus Aqua 2018/Stronger w You)

Having a Creed Royal Oud bottle that’s almost empty, I came across this video to avoid spending hundreds. I also had Gucci por homme II that’s mentioned in the video. I took the gamble and ordered this fragrance by Afnan. What a disappointment, it’s significantly different than either and the quality of the scent is lower. It doesn’t diffuse like the original scent. It smells much more like an Arab/African scent than Royal Oud does. I personally am not a fan and I don’t plan on ever wearing the scent, let alone having it be a substitute for when I want to wear Royal Oud
I'm an optimistic person and generally I, like most men I tend to look at things to quality them rather than disqualify them. That said, I love Royal Oud, own and wear Royal oud as well as a small 250+ fragrance collection. I also now own Afnan Highness III as of about 2 months ago. Yes, it's absolutely in the ballpark, no question what there going for. Presentation top notch 👌. But the juice is what counts no? I gotta say me personally, I wouldn't buy it again, for me there's an overall cheap sythetic and as you said "green" smell in addition to this that's sickening and overbearing to wear. I will say this, if you can stomach wearing it it smells much better in the air, I sprayed it in the bathroom after a browns game 😉 and walking back hours later it smelled nice. So, I'm disappointed far as the scent goes for a wearable fragrance. I do know Afnan can be hit or miss and for me this one missed the mark unfortunately. I respect everyone's opinion but I personally can't recommend this for more than $25 USD and that's mainly presentation. But I think that's awesome if it works for someone!

Much too pungent when I tested it as soon as I got it. I did not like it at all. I let the bottle sit for 3 weeks and the smell has somehow blunted a little. I sprayed it on my arm and the smell was still strong, but it is not so sharp. Still on the fence about it though.

Have you tried Paris Corner Ministry of Oud? They have one named Oud Royale, it's supposed to be a very good clone of CRO. I've never gotten my nose to Creed, but I hear it's a very nice gentleman scent. If anyone knows the word on Paris Corners scent comparison to Creed, let me know.
@Dean Laudon I actually did end up buying PC Oud Royal. Very nice scent but as you said, the performance is a little weak. I have now gotten my hands on a full bottle of Houbigant Bois Mystique which has better performance is a little louder and also has similarities to CRO. I'm satisfied with this scent beautiful and rich vs PC OR

I also got Lattafa Asad based on your review, and it is extremely horrible compared to the Sauvage Elixir. I really don't know why you are promoting these cheap clones and praising them all the time.

In my opinion this is a Dead Ringer to polo green without the smokiness in the background. I really wanted it to smell like Royal oud. Went by your review, and for the most part you stirrer me in the right direction however Shure wish i would have bought a decent before I pulled the trigger. 👎 if you're looking for the Creed Royal oud but if you're looking for a mixture of polo green then this might be for you don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it but not as much as my 5-year-old Creed Royal oud which is running out. FollowUP Post purchase. A clone of Royal Oud? Meh 🫤. I’ll be brief. The Creed is much sweeter on initial spray with a very nice almost powdery tobacco Oudy dry down. The Highness III comes of with this strong Eucalyptus medicine smell that doesn’t change much in the dry down. It has a tiny bit of the sweetness and powdery undertones of the Creed but they’re completely overpowered by the Eucalyptus tone. It’s quite loud indeed. Maybe they thought it would make it smell fresher? So I would have to say Don’t but if you’re expecting to get a cheap Creed Royal Oud. As a score/Grade, I’d give it a solid 75% “C” on a scale of “A” to “F”. Not good 👎🏽

If you want this scent profile with crazy performance, snag DUA's "King of Oudhania". Stuff smells 90% to "royal oud", and 3 sprays all day!
