      If Lillard continues to have games like this and doesn’t win, I don’t see why he should stay in Portland. Granted I think he’s too loyal to leave, but still. Pretty sure they were talking about shopping him anyway. In this league you have to have 2-3 stars on a team to realistically have a shot at a championship, and I don’t want to hear about the 2019 Raptors.

      When someone is this clutch and for such dominates the ball, teammate hesitate to take shots they usually take. That’s exactly what happened and we needed someone who can be courageous and step up at that moment. To me, that someone was supposed to be Carmelo. So I was disappointed when Carmelo gave up open mid range jumper at Double OT for the kick-out 3. No one else but him could hit buckets at such atmosphere. I’m not saying at was a bad decision, it was a right decision especially when they were down 3. But hey, we all know making right decision is not always the right decision when it comes to clutch time. Come on Carmelo. It’s not CJ, it’s you who could help Dame during the clutch.

    I’ve literally watched at least 90 percent of Dames games since his Rookie year and I have to say most outsiders do not realize how special this dude is. I was at a free fan fest event a few years ago and it was literally chaos basketball. Nobody could run a play or hit anything until Dame stepped on the court. He was deferring to the other guys for quite awhile and then he just started throwing up bombs and I swear they all went in. When you see it sitting court side it’s a much different experience. He makes it look effortless in real life and he’s just so much better than everyone else on the court it’s ridiculous.

      @kamaujackson2121 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Free-Night Yes he’s definitely top 75 . If he was in a bigger market with a more talented team people would realize it. But because he’s in Portland and they have no other all-nba caliber players, that would make them a title contender, people underrate Dame. From an individual talent standpoint/statistical standpoint he stacks up with all of his contemporaries, i.e Curry, Kyrie, Westbrook, CP3, etc. Just like you said he meets every metric of an all time great player, he just never got to play with other players around his same talent level.

    Mannnn a hell of a performance by Dame. I'm consistently impressed by his ability to get on balance regardless of any step back he's doing. Case in point is around 4:24 on the left wing, I think he kinda lost his footing for a sec too but still as he's raising up for the shot, he's not fading back or anything like that. Crazy!!

    Damian Lillard is a flat out superstar!! If there was any doubt, that should be no more, period. He can score any possible way, unlimited range, brilliant handles, can take it right to the rack, dishes out the assists, plays defense, etc... here's who could use him to contend for a title: Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, Nuggets, Sixers, Celtics- to name a few. Personally, I would like to see him stay in Portland, and have a couple key players join him...he is a mega talent, his game is fun to watch.

The pressure was at its highest and he delivered AND won (not comparing eras, style of play or whatever, I am just comparing pressure, because this is what shows your true killer instinct - I can agree that some of the shots Dame makes seem to be extremely difficult, but many of them, those long shots after the high pick, are regular threes to him). Kobe, I agree with you. He had monster reg season games but none of his playoff performances were THIS good.
