    Hi Russell, Considering getting one of these to cut 7x7mm softwood strips, your review would be very appreciated and helpful!, previous videos have been really informative and constructive, thanks for that.

    I got the same model. Mine arrived yesterday 05.07.23, you did very well getting it unpacked, setting it up on your own. fortunatly for me my brother assisted. Not sure to do what you did re fence to mitre slot alignment or use the buddy against the blade to aligh fence, as Matt Easleigh did. Theres quite a difference. Test, Test i suppose.

      I have been using mine and it is great. Much better than my old Dewalt 876 bandsaw! :-)

      You've had your saw since July. How does it perform? Is it worth the money?I'm torn between this model and the sabre 350.
      Thanks

      I really enjoy using it, big upgrade for me from a screwfix triton or is it titan. i have laminated, sliced, circled, cut out patterns all seems frine for me. minimul dust with a extractor coupled. big footprint, i had to put it on casters to move around.. once set up (trial and error) nice straight cuts, i did buy one of each belt from Axminster at the same time and a band saw buddy. i am sure it will be with me until i cant move it any more LOL . good luck!

    Looks good, waiting to see how it performs. If I may suggest you would benefit from the purchase of some "screwdriver" or "T" bar type long hex keys which would vastly de stress your setup.

      LOL, I was using a shifter on one where the handle had broken Peter. I think I will buy myself a new set! :-)

    I'm torn between this and the sabre 350. I bought the evolution rage 5 on the back of your review several years back, and I wasn't disappointed. At the moment, I have a sheppach 250 bandsaw. It's a bit of a wimp. I am going to upgrade later this year,im considering this saw. Is it any good? Thanks

      It is a fine bandsaw John. I am very pleased with it. :-)

    Hi, Have you considered to put on wheels / or casters on the base of the AP2920B bandsaw?

    • @RussellPlatten
      @RussellPlatten  ปีที่แล้ว

      No need for me. It is in it's own space and should not need moving. :-)

    Sorry to bug you more, what was the fitted blade like, I read that most change it to an Axcaliber?

      It is ok, hardly used it as I have been working on other jobs. I will be reviewing the saw soon. :-)

      @@RussellPlatten Russell, I want one of these or the model below a AP2920B. do u have to take the table off evertime you change a blade, like they did on the Axminster vid, could be a faf if you do? looks big though, did you put wheels on it?

    • @RussellPlatten
      @RussellPlatten  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can change the blade without removing the table! :-)

      @@RussellPlatten top banana, going to spend money then! oh did you put wheels on it, can you do you know, ill have to wheel it about?

    • @RussellPlatten
      @RussellPlatten  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1topgumpilot867 I do not have wheels on mine, but you can fit wheels. If you look at the bandsaw on the Axminster page there is a section on the right for recommended accessories. There is a mobile base listed there. :-)
