  • This is the newest coop added to the Tractor supply range, it is not the cheapest by a long ways but I think it is possible one of the better constructed coops they offer. Here is my Review and build of that coop

Your video helped me a lot, especially the part about the part/board that goes over the nesting boxes where the nesting boxes roof panels are attached to. . My kit came with that part, but no part # and no explaintion. You saved the day! :) Thanks! (We assembled this coop today Seems like the creators would provide a video on assembling this.... ugh)

It's beautiful. I have a snap and lock coop now but I just hatched 18 chicks. 😊 I think I want this.

They claim 18, I think it will depend on the size of the chickens. I currently have 6 but we will add about 10 more and see how it goes. I will be refurbishing the old coop so can move some if it gets too crowded.

I have about 10 total, do you think they would fit comfortably? Thank you so much ❤

@@melindaabreu6329 I plan on adding 10 this year so we will have 16, all different sizes and I think they will have plenty of room. My daughter says it would easily hold 18. I think the coop has about 17 feet of roosting bar plus 4 nesting boxes so that should be plenty

Hey! Really helpful video! I have a question...can the roosting bars be hung lower than intended? I'm going to be keeping English Orpingtons (very large, heavy breed), and they need to be no higher than about 12" to prevent them from breaking their legs when they come down from the roosts.
Thank you for any info - I really appreciate it!

Great video! Been looking to get one myself from tractor supply. How many chickens would you say this coop holds? Great job!

I need 4 of those t-handle latches. Mine was missing all of them.

I our purchased this coop. Not bad but the main door kinda warped a bit. The roof is a bit hard to install they could’ve put some braces mid way and the top metal pieces hole done really line up to good with the ridges of the roofing panels. I also painted the whole coop a different color to help change the color and protect the wood a little more

I bought this same coop and used your video as a guide, so thank you! Your coop seemed to line up much better than mine, although i think my ground was more uneven. i used marine grade sealant on all the cracks until i could no longer see light, only through the ventilation at the top.
how did you reinforce the floor? i want to switch over to sand litter instead of the wood bedding but i am afraid the sand will be too heavy! I placed each of my coop legs on a two inch tall concrete paver so its slightly sitting higher than your coop i believe. Any thoughts?

I also put mine on pavers. For the floor I just put a couple of 12"x12" paver stacks under to take load

How has this held up? Have you had any issues with it getting too hot?

So far it has been fine, chickens like it, does not appear to get too hot, easy to clean.
