What a huge home game! I have to live my poker dream out by watching your vlogs. My run good sucks. I played at the Aria this weekend and 2 times flopped K- high flush and lost both. Good work!
Pretty solid play. Some pretty tough decisions you were put in. The QQ hand just completely boggles my mind that someone would get it all in with A3…Like wtf? Is he playing the same game as the rest of the table? Then to hit runner runner would’ve made me very frustrated but at least he didn’t also catch an Ace on the second run. That’s one thing that I’ve had moments of frustration with hold ‘em is playing flawless and outplaying your opponent and he sucks out a miracle. I actually took some time off from poker because I was on a terrible run. I was getting sucked out on ridiculously a lot and it made me despise hold ‘em for a long time. It didn’t help I was playing with everything I had financially and losing stung that much more but I got back into it after a year and decided to keep a positive mindset and luckily it’s been a lot better run for me. But anyways the fact that ole dude got it all in with A3 is evidence of how much more difficult these kind of games are because a table with all pros at it, is not gonna ever call the all in with A3. Not in a million years

That last hand I think Mariano should have bet three quarters pot or something different when representing aces or kings. It looked like missed draw or straight up bluff. Max pressure over bets can be a tell or a reverse tell though so what the heck do I know 😂. Well played 👏👌👍
Great stuff Ethan. I swear I don't know about the last hand. As in I have no idea. 18 combos of QQ+. *Maybe* one TT? 9 combos. How many worse hands are blasting off like that? Here's the one thing that might lean me toward a call: you can have TT. If you have JJ you play TT identically, correct? Do you ever raise there if you flopped top set? I don't think so. Even when the club draw turns, you want to let him blast with his big pairs. But Mariano, he's one of the best. He knows you can have TT there. So why would he blast with KK? He gets snapped by TT and almost anything else folds. Even KK has to worry that you have AA and are letting him just blast at you. It just doesn't feel like anything except maybe AA and the odd TT. You're getting almost exactly 2:1 (he sized his bets for a PSB shove beautifully). I literally 🤷♀️ meaning Mariano played the hand great. Nice call sir.
The right way to play it is to know your opponents range. And bet patterns for big pairs or A K or suited connectors and act accordingly. But you are at a high level so they balance everything propperly. his hand was disquised as high pair the whole time so its hard to know if JJ are good. But other then knowing the range and just being ready to be all in. Otherwise. Just play it smooth and cool pot control as much as possible.
I called AQ at his last hand. It was so similar to his first AQ against your JJ earlier. With his range capped with the 4 bet, the overbet on the turn and with that board texture, it felt like a bluff. I thought he may have had AQs clubs the way he went all in on river. Great call.
The last hand of JJ with Mariano is another tough one.. .. The giveaway for me that he may have AK, AQ, AJ, A10 or a lower pair is Mariano's bet of $1200 into a pot of $4185 on the flop.. .. And when you just called, he read you for weak.. .. I might have raised on that spot to see where I'm at.. But ur call is ok too given the aggressive player that he is.. .. You ended up though making a tough crying call in the end. Lucky for you he did not have AA, KK or QQ.. Good job rampage.. 💪
