Matt you’re thoughts on mobility couldn’t be more true. Film every mobility session whether it’s dynamic/static, pre/post game or conditioning. Its the little details that separate the good players from the great and without mobility the body is like a car with no engine oil. Good luck
Hi Matt I've been watching your for quite a while now and every time I watch one of your videos you give me the motivation to improve my game and as hard as I can to get where I wanna go. I really think you will make it to where you want to be as you are always wanting to improve and become the best you can. Thanks for the hard work you do to improve yourself and help others. Matt if you watch the Man United Class of ‘92 documentary, they talk about Ryan Giggs extending his career by doing yoga. He played winger up until he was close to 40.
Well done Matt. I'm trying to do stretches with my son when we watch TV in the evening, but he always runs away and tries to do something else! I wonder where he gets it from!
go watch his old video he explain how much he train . it depend if he is in season or off season . But in off season he do like 1 gym workout in mroning and 1h - 1h30 technical training in afternoon
MATT PLEASE ANSWER THIS: I've heard from many other people that stretching is only good to do when you're warmed up or are already warm in you're body ? But you aren't doing any warm up before this ? Can I do this without warming up ? Cause other TH-camrs says that it can lead to my damage than good ?
If you are going to be playing right after, your stretching should be dynamic (high knees, open/close gate, etc). However if your not, static stretching is really good for mobility and flexibility. It helps if you stretch in the mornings before you start your day or at night before bed.
Yes. Stretching is more effective and safe once muscles have been warmed up slowly. Your muscle are made up of muscle fibres. As you move around, the temperature of the fibres increase and ultimately their pliability as well. This basically means once warm, your muscles have a greater range of motion (flexibility) and so stretching is easier as well as less likely to damage any stiff muscles
Man, wether you have a game or not you should always take AT LEAST 30 min to stretch everyday, also after every game and practice ice your legs. Its what the pros do, and you should too. Stretching will never not be beneficial !!
Troll Army when the ball come strait to your foot then just use the inside preferably and when the ball hits your foot bring it down with the ball to suppress the speed of the ball so it stops. When you get more comfortable you can try other parts of the foot, but always suppress the ball, if you have anything else you wanna learn then watch someone who can do it in slo mo and figure out what they are doing right and ur not,
Matt I’m really a big fan of you everytime I watch your video I always smile but I try to search up your jersey and stuff but I couldn’t find it and if they do have it online please show me thanks⚽️😊
Hey Matt, I've heard that foam rolling is really good for mobility however, I'm in so much pain whenever I foam roll. I know this means that my muscles are tight but is there a way to reduce the pain during foam roll.
Hey Matt, I am a freshman In college. I have had the dream of playing pro since I was young and now I am realizing more and more that is what I want to do. I am contemplating dropping out of school to train and try to play pro eventually. I started every game as a freshman and usually played a full 90 min. I play for a good naia team ( we have two guys that are on the top 10 PDL prospect list, and another who just got trials with the charlotte independence and Colorado rapids). I know I am not near the level of a professional player but I have very good technical ability, a hard work ethic, and an extreme desire to play pro. Do you have any advice for me as far as if I should drop out so I can solely focus on training so I can get to the next level? Or if I should stay in school and hope for the best?
