This is a Hindi review (with English subtitles) of the EU30is Honda Generator that is available in India. This is a 3KVA Portable petrol generator that easily runs AC. This is my review based on usage over 4 years and also includes current price of the generator and its associated components.

M also planning for one but have no ideas about the connection and what appliances can be used (for e.g.can we use 1 ton a.c. 1 hp water pump, 3 fridge and 3 fans and 9 watts 5 led bulbs????) Will this generator do the work or not?? 😁

Sir ap ne bahut achi video bnayi hai. Sir ap se ek request hai ki ap is generator se ek bar 1.5 TONN ka AC , GYSER, OR 1.5 KWH ki pani ki motor chla ke dikhaye. Or ap ye bi btaye ki agr isse AC chlaye to kitne ghnte chla skte hai. Muje sirf grmio mein pani ki motor and AC ke liye best generator lena chahta hu. Please sir ap jldi se video bnake btaye taki bad mein koi doubts na rhe

Hello Ji, in my eu30is in neutral socket also i am getting a phase...which means in both terminal a phase is there...how to solve this problem?

I have been using EU30is since 2014 in auto start/stop mode(self made circuit) and self maintained. You need to change engine oil, air filter and spark plug clean as per instruction manual. Clean fuel is very important. Product is value for money for sure.

A guy left the fuel on with full tank of petrol and that seeped down the carbuator into the intake for 4-6yrs. As a result the oil got diluted and the fuel residue locked the engine and destroyed the carbuator. It was listed on olx for 45k₹ , i got the genarator from him for 35k₹ after telling him the engine is locked and it's most likely toast.
After taking the carbuator apart i immediately noticed the destruction made by bad fuel in the tank. Basically the whole fuel system had to be changed. I sprayed a lot of wd40 in the intake valve and left it for few days to dissolve the petrol residue and after 2 days the engine was freed . I sprayed some petrol in the intake with injection and it started right up in first pull and made power so i was 100% sure the engine , generator head and inverter is in working condition. After soaking the carbuator in diesel, kerosene and then petrol it finally cleaned up and i put everything back together to test it and it ran like brand new. The generator has less than 20hrs on it clock. And i bought a whole gasket set with everything that required to be replaced on a maintenance and that got me a perfectly functional, basically brand new honda eu30i for 35k+5k in parts + 2weeks of cleaning.. i will now convert this to lpg to save money and get rid of the petrol smell.

@@rajlovinglife yes i bought a bajaj auto lpg regulator. Drilled a hole in the airbox and connected pipes like they do in autorickshaw. It works perfectly fine with 0 difference in performance. On a full tank of domestic lpg the generator runs 18 hours at full load. Way cheaper than running on petrol and no worries about petrol rotting.

I was getting this eu30is (used) for 78k but it was making loud 'grrr' like sound whereas your generator makes sweet noise after watching it.Any specific reason behind that, you would like to add?

Hey man, thanks for taking time to explain everything. Just a few quick questions, Kindly answer in-line. If I am going for camping for a few days, I might have to rely on this totally, and also I have to self service. So,
1) How often servicing is needed (After how many hours of run time) ?
2) How long can this generator run without a break?
3) What are the items that need changing during servicing? (Is it just engine oil or is there any oil filter etc? )
4) When I go for camping, I can only carry the generator and a big spike with a lot of plug points in it. Will that be enough? I mean, Can I just connect the spike to generator's plug point and begin using it? Or do I need any stabilizer or board of sorts?
5) Is this generator an over kill for camping? All I need during the camping is to run 2 portable fans, 2 LED bulbs (during the night), run an air pump to inflate/deflate airbed or tent, run an immersion water heater, induction stove, hair dryer etc. If you think it is an over kill, please suggest an alternate model (with stable inverter style electric supply without flicker).

It been 1 year since you asked but for the purpose of the knowledge I would say this is for sure over kill for camping. Unless you planning to make a tent as big as 2 bhk, with split AC, fridge, fans, TV, home theatre, projector etc…. You got the point. However what are you using now? I’m sure you might have invested in something already.
One thing to note it will continue to produce 3KV regardless of the load so making this as an hybrid model will be a better option that again for the house and not camping.

अच्छा तो है, लेकिन थोड़ा मंहगा है. अगर इसका प्राइस अधिकतम ₹ 70 - 80 हजार के करीब होता तब ज्यादा अच्छा होता और इसको अधिक लोग ले पाते.

It’s load dependent. At 2800 watts it will run for 7 hours, at 700 watts or quarter load almost 20 hours. ECO mode should be kept on, generator automatically increases RPM based on the load.

It’s dependent on the load. At 700 watts it will be around 0.6 litre per hour. At 2800 watts it will be around 1.7 litres per hour.

Should easily be able to, calculate total load of these appliances and as long as you’re less than 3000 watts, should be fine.

Does it work with 2 ton 3star inverter AC?
Yes is should work. Check that the max power consumption of the AC is below 2500w or so. With inverter type ACs, the good thing is that the power consumption increases in steps not immediately like old non inverter ACs.

Bhai ek question hai, kya ye petrol ke alawa kisi aur fuel se nhi chalta kyoki petrol to petrol pump wale bina gaadi ke dete nhi hai.
Bahar ke countries mein LPG se chalane ke liye dual fuel conversion kit milta hai 13-14k mein. India mein abhi tak nahin suna iske baare mein. Agar petrol pump waale nahin de, to kisi doosre pump pe try karo, saare mana nahi karte..

+Faisal Mushfeen Qureshi hi Faisal, no limit on number of appliances as long as total load is less than 2800 watts. So I have run an inverter ac (1.5 ton) in power saving mode while charging double battery inverter no problem.
