Miraak took off 'cuz he knew what he did. He didn't want any part of the Crew. Also, may I comment on the absolute genius of Fannybones' reasoning in his choice of Sven's attire. You see, heat rises, and because there's so little actual stuff inside Sven's head, there's plenty of space for the heat to accumulate, so by putting on the hat, all of that warmth is now trapped and waiting to be rerouted back into the rest of the body.

Yea, I know the feeling. It’s like that for me every time I dive into Dwemer ruins and get mobbed by the Falmer. You see I’m a Falmer or a snow elf as Uncle Gelebor prefers to call us now. At first it’s like “ah, hey my brethren” and then they start to attack me and then it dawns on me “they’re blind. They don’t know I’m a Falmer like them… or sort of like them. I wasn’t gullible enough to get betrayed by the Dwemer or I wouldn’t have been gullible enough to get betrayed by the Dwemer if I hadn’t been raised in the safety and shelter of the Forgotten Vale.” I still proudly call myself a Falmer especially after someone insults them to my face. I just love to see the looks on their faces when they realize what they just did. They are still my people. I still see them as my people. I just feel bad killing them. They’ve been through enough. That’s what I told Uncle Gelebor when I told him he needed to abandon the chantry. That and it’s not healthy for him to be all alone like that. Auri-el would never want him to be alone like that.
