I'm Japanese and telling you this place is cool and the tastes are so good. The price isn't that super high so if any of you going to Japan one day you should try here.
I want to go too, but the problem is that I have no idea how to speak Japanese, and how I can travel, I am so fond of traveling and how much people will be fond of going out. Going to Japan, Korea, but I can't go through the language, like me

There's something about japan that's seriously calming. The lack of traffic noise, the clean and neat buildings, the people speaking softly, and the convenience to get anything. It's like the whole nation was built with asmr in mind

Its called Feng Shui. Asians used to organize everything the way, that the qi can flow optimally and everything is harmonious. Thats why we get that natural feeling of calmness and peace when we watch these videos.

Wait, as a server this place is amazing too, no need to interact with customer's, you don't have to deal with taking order's yourself and you barely have to move to get the order's out to Table's! Jesus forget eating here(I would) i'd work here too. Like this removes so many of the things about working in Food Service that sucks.

No just good in general, think about it, usually having to run around table to table around a huge restaurant, dealing with all these different kinds of people. Just being able to cook in that same spot then just give it to someone then go work on something else will let you get WAY MORE DONE! Even though I can be introverted or extroverted I’d definitely work here!!
This. So much this. I don't mind walking and serving all day. What bothers me most is human interactions and all the Karen's. This removes almost all of it!
When they clarified that it was cold water, I laughed at myself because I had subconsciously expected it to be hot water. I don’t know why, maybe because it’s a ramen place.

when i went to this restaurant i was expecting it to be hot water as well! hahah the cold water surprised me
I just love that the spoons are made to rest on the bowl and you don't have to worry about them slipping into your soup
Falling asleep in a room during a holiday, just hearing the muffled noises of everyone as a child. And this restaurant give off the same atmosphere.

@@swocks4085 same camera angle, looks like very good food and is very bright, and a lot of sounds of customers in the background, also the camera has a thing called o.i.s (optical image stabilization) which basically means the lens it self can move around abit inside the camera and has small magnets at each side going to the exact opposite direction, then when the camera moves up or down, the lens goes down a bit making it a ton smoother, like a video game camera! Like their isn't any wobble, he's by himself in a small room (no need to make NPC's) the camera is very smooth, and the food is very bright, but looks good

Me too. Somehow people always went to restaurant with their friends while I felt kind of being judged for being alone since I usually eat on my way home after working.
For those who have yet to try it, Ichiran Ramen is simply devine! The soup is out of this world and the chaashuu is so tender😋. A must try if you ever make it to Japan. And please don't waste the soup! It's the only item you cannot add on.
Times like these i really appreciate internet, the concept of this is pretty amazing. Especially if you want decent quality lunch and are on your own.

as someone who has very bad anxiety about eating in public or around others, i can safely say, japan covers those types of needs for people like me and i appreciate that a lot :)
Notable Japanese cities are very high density - their "high anxiety zones" go back a few generations, enough for the neighborhoods have had a chance to adapt to it, commercially as well as socially.
The amount of times I have watched this is unhealthy.

As an introvert, this video made me feel very comfortable. I would gladly eat in this restaurant, the place seems warm and comfy and the food looks delicious. I wish that kind of restaurant existed here in Europe.
American here, even if you’re not introverted this kind of “booth-for-one” system seems really nice. Sitting down at a restaurant alone over here in the US always feels weird with how everything’s set up to seat parties of people. Even if I’m enjoying some me time out of the house it kinda leaves me feeling lonely. Seating like this just completely removes that feeling.

You are probably the first person I've watched doing one of these that actually tells us what the eff chashu IS without just assuming everyone watching knows..Thank you for this, dearly. Coming from America, a lot of times pork ramen (at least where I live in the US) doesn't necessarily always have pork coming with it (occasionally beef or chicken, or sometimes they let you choose which). So, while it might seem obvious it should be pork with the pork ramen, it isn't necessarily what everyone will automatically know because of things like that.
It's also nice to get a step-by-step for if you ever get to visit the place on what to expect PRIOR to the meal and what it's like rather than just "Here's the food, it was good, it tasted like this". :D

I wish that they had more of these resturants around the world and the staff sound and act so polite. The atmosphere seems calm and with well manners.
One thing I love about this place, aside from the Ramen and the service, is the background music. So serene, and makes the experience more aesthetic.

I thought the curtain was actually pretty cool. With that you kinda feel like it's more private and you are just left alone with your food, without seeing other people eat or the staff constantly running past your booth.

@1999Beats I do not agree with you. The more likely reason is that it is uncommon in American culture to go out in public just to eat alone at a cubicle. In the US, restaurants are built open and sociable. If you want to eat alone, you stay home.
@1999Beats I've been to some fast food restaurants in America that has already replaced cashiers with computers that take orders for customers. It's definitely much cheaper and better for the bottom line, especially in cities with high minimum wages, to replace a worker with automation. These machines probably don't cost more than a few thousand, way less than what you would pay a minimum wager worker in a year. However, many people would prefer to have the human interaction. Japan is just not a society that favors that.

Hehe, I understand the anxiety. Same when I watched him peeling off the wrapper of his chopsticks. Instead of ripping it open on the top and slide out the sticks, he ripped it open from the middle and had to pull off a halve before he could slide out the sticks. It's those small things, but man... The blood pressure is real!

People have to realize some people enjoy this kind of service not just for the food alone but also the time spend on it. This place.. this experience.. you are in a place where nobody can judge, no one care, no one's looking, and you don't have to feel scared for society around you.. just you, the meal in front of you, and full on bliss sensation of service.. if that's not a great way to relive stress than shouldn't people there just came to a regular ramen restaurant, with their friends and family? Why the need to go or even be there when the difference is only the experience?

Already learnt this from Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san. That anime was the best for learning about ramen. Had my mouth watering while watching the entire anime.

There were multiple times that I leaned forward and opened my mouth as you brought the spoon full of ramen to the camera.
I love to go to the Brooklyn and Manhattan locations. No vending machine, but everything else looks exactly the same. Even the music tone that plays when the food is ready is the same haha
Correction: Many ramen shops, and local restaurants in Japan use “vending machines” as a simpler way to give the cooks what you want by giving them the ticket, and already paying in advance for good food. Not really “vending machines” but little ticket ballot printer things.
Edit: ***This video was only posted a week ago but it’s already got half a million views. It would suck to mislead people into thinking a vending machine dispenses ramen (some places do).
*hopefully you can like my comment to bump it up* to clarify the whole “vending machine” in the title. Also Ramen Ichiran is a very famous ramen joint located all over Japan. The first store originated in Fukuoka. You can find more various vlogs or whatever that go more in-depth.
*Fun Fact* : I broke one of these machines after wanting to undo something while printing my ticket. They had to bring a guy out to ask me what happened...🥴 I was still learning Japanese so it was a confusing mess to explain what happened and get my coins back lmao
