The official synopsis has been revealed on Marvel's Japanese website. According to it, Ryan Reynolds' character is poised to change the course of MCU history, with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine accompanying him. The newly translated summary suggests, “The irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”

The purple cloud thingy looks to be Alioth from Loki season one. Meaning Deadpool finds himself at "the end of time" after being pruned or otherwise getting there via whatever means he can. Which makes sense in the multiverse/timelines branching at the end of Loki season one, as to how he would enter the MCU "timeline".

The white suit Wolverine is actually from the comics. He adopted the name Patch where donned as eyepatch and worked undercover. Yes that was one of the Secret Wars comics from 2015. I’m so excited. Plus it’s rumored Taylor may be in this as the mutant Dazzler who is a pop star in the comics. So if she’s in it she fits the premises of the character so I’m down for it lol.

Why would he wear bright yellow? Because Wolverine is the meat tank of the team. He's the decoy, purposely drawing enemy fire. You'd normally think of characters like Colossus as the ones to absorb a lot of damage, but in the comics (and especially in the animated series), Wolverine's often the one instantly barreling into the front lines of a fight and taking most of the initial hits. True, he's not invulnerable and it's going to hurt, a lot, but he's not worried about dying, is usually the most experienced and skilled fighter on the team, and it opens up options for all the rest of his teammates.
The purple smoke looks like it is Alioth that we see in the Loki series, and the pause at 11:14 the actor played Pyro in X2 & X-Men Last Stand his outfit even looks similar to the one in the comics.

The TVA guy is probably Paradox and the likely mutant for the Taylor Swift cameo is Dazzler who has the ability to transform sound into light of various forms and intensity
It is Paradox, the subtitles confirm it.
And I get the hate for TS is way to great, but at the same time so is her ubiquity. She's an average pop singer, I didn't even know her popularity had spiked that much recently and thought she was an old phenom. But in any case, she doesn't need to be in everything because she's big, a better actress could portray Dazzler even if the character has a similar life to her. But it's unconfirmed rumors started by people who think TS did everything from write the latest Matthew Vaughn flick to making Michael Jackson famous.
@@billbill6094 I'd be down for another actress to play the part. However, Swift would be a pretty great pick for Dazzler, too, considering .. everything. Dazzler may not be as much of a global phenom in the Marvel universe as TS is, but she's still a relatively super popular popstar. It would be incredibly perfect as a meta joke, meta definitely being something Deadpool is known for.

Am totally fangirling all over this, combing 2 until now separate fandoms for me, Deadpool and MCU. I am so freaking happy!
The only person that didn't think comic accurate costumes wouldn't work in X-Men was the head of 20th Century Fox at the time, who remains a notorious tool... he was a skeptic of the film the whole time but then had to grudgingly accept that it was worth making after he saw the box office receipts.
I had to back it up to check if that was Doctor Doom as well, so you aren't alone.

It makes you remember at the time the first movie came out neither comic books nor comic book movies were taken seriously _at all._ Execs treated the movies as "let's just appeal to the nerds" and they only ended up good when they did because they had people actually passionate about these stories make them.
Nowadays I can't say people who don't read comics respect them anymore, so many people treat the suggestion of reading a comic as a plague or they think it's a boring clinical way to get lore for the movies. Which they're not, comics are great, give them a chance if you don't read them. But the movies are much more venerated, and studios realize comic accuracy and faithful adaptation is the way to go, not just because "it brings the hardcore nerd audience out" but because the stories present in them are actually phenomenal.
Now we have to wait for the same to happen to video games. Even critics who loved The Last of Us series couldn't even say so without disparaging the _better_ game to gain credibility by distancing themselves from something "nerdy."
I will say, they were probably right. For the early 2000s, going over the top comic probably wouldn't have worked. When X-Men came out, they had to prove to general, non-comic audiences that superheroes weren't just little kid comics - they had to age it up and make it more adult, like the Matrix or Blade. But now? The MCU doesn't really have to prove to audiences that superheroes aren't just for kids. They can go full ham with costumes.

Hugh Jackman said he would only come back as Wolverine if they had him in the MCU. He's keeping his word, and now he's come to save another cinematic universe. And thankfully it means we're finally really getting X-Men, as a lifelong Marvel fan the world felt so empty without them.
People talk a lot about how certain actors embody the hero role like RDJ, but Hugh is probably just as iconic as Wolverine as all those guys are combined, he was so before the MCU and even Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man existed. And now he's outlasted them all.
And about time they redeem the Wolvie Deadpool dynamic that got butchered in X-Men origins.
I mean, Marvels cemented we were getting X-Men, lol.

@@billbill6094 Nah, I'm not. My theater wasn't full, but it had people in it. It didn't make a ton of money, but people still saw it. And, again, regardless of its box office draw, Marvels cemented X-Men coming to the MCU before this did.

I even remember this rivalry with the early Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. In fact, the quips on Wolverine from Deadpool were a mainstay of it. It was around the time I first discovered Deadpool and his humor. Like when you leveled up, he would say, "Great! Now I'm even better at doing whatever Wolverine does."

There's an X-Man character called Dazzler. She's a mutant pop star who has the power to turn sound into light. in one of the later X-Men movies there is a scene in a record store. In that scene Scott/Cyclops holds up a Dazzler album cover, on the album cover, it's Taylor Swift as Dazzler and that's the extent of her cameo that movie. Anyway, Ryan Reynolds thought it would be funny to bring Taylor back as Dazzler given all the recent "controversy" surrounding her.

5:45 after deadpool used cables time device and saved all his team from dying and his girlfriend he gave up the superhero life and got a regular job. That is what this scene is from him at his job looking at his suit in his locker. This not a spoiler because disney has already stated that deadpool has been living a regular life and got a regular job.
It literally is like one of those Rick and Morty episodes, where they save time and live a whole happy life and then they hit 'return' and go back like it never happened xD Its literally the same concept, but it fits Deadpool so much

@BaddMedicine Other reports are saying that it's not Doctor Doom since Cassandra Nova is the big baddie of this film. She was the bald person we only get a glimpse of in the trailer. They're saying the person who looks like Doom is possibly just one of the Wastelanders from the comic that did have Doom in that story. We see another person running in the same attire as the cloud monster that folks are thinking is Alioth from Loki.

ok, #showerthoughts, here is my hairbrained theory about Deadpool. The TVA in the trailer is NOT the same TVA from Loki, but is instead the TVA for...the Fox Marvel Cinematic Universe (FMCU), and that they bring recruit Deadpool because he has already messed with the timeline in bringing Vanessa back from the last film, but also because they recognize that he can see or is aware of multiple universes/timelines, and that the MCU is now merging with the FMCU and that the whole Secret Wars story line will be the FMCU and the MCU fighting as their realities merge. What's more, the FMCU TVA will be led by Dr. Doom, because not only is that something he would do, it's something he HAS done, in the comics, specifically in the Secret Wars comic book that's laying on the ground next to Deadpool at the end of the trailer!

I think the TVA will be asking Deadpool to correct all the missteps and mistakes that have been made recently. They’ll ask him to do it because he’s the only superhero who knows he’s in a movie. That’s why he refers to himself as “Marvel Jesus.” He’s the savior of the MCU.

Wait I didn't Wade Wilson was born in February that's pretty clever
So my guess is that at the end of Deadpool 2. Wade just went on a time travel rampage and altered so many timeline events that he was able to have that perfect birthday celebration with people he saved during his time travels. TVA is obviously against that and went to his timeline to get him.
the beginning may be the only time other then the ending thast we see the deadpool cast, tva will swoop him up and recruit him to fix the fox branch timelines, why he is in the end of time with with aliath is interesting. not sure why the tva would send him there. i think he get pruned on accident while searching for his wolverine he comes across "patch" sitting at the card table, he will most likely meet a few variants of hugh jackman. cant wait to see him using those time doors to go places.

The TVA has nothing to do with the wish. If you remember the end of Deadpool 2 he was traveling the Multiverse killing off different people. They're there to give him consequences of it.
I noticed two places Deadpool was at. First one with the 20th century fox logo and the cloud looks like the end of time. Second location he was fighting the TVA agents looks like the woods the avengers were on a mission at in Avengers the Age of Ultron

Hey, guys, looking fwd to DP3 too. Wade is now a used car salesman retired from the superhero life. The TVA agent who interviews DP is Paradox, a future version of Mobius. Also, the place where he is battling folks near the end I believe is the void and the cloud we see probably Alioth approaching. It’s gonna be fun. And no, I will not be able to wait; I going to the theater to see it. 👍🏻

I don't think it's confirmed or anything, but it's a theory I subscribe to. Wolverine wears bright yellow so he can draw fire and attention from his fellow (usually child) soldiers on the X-Men. Normally when he's going solo he just dresses in his normal attire
