Welding a DIY Engine Stand

Yes, you can buy an engine stand for about $100, I'm tired of using craptastic engine stands and why just buy one and have it ready to go in an hour when you can spend a couple weeks worth of evenings overbuilding one?

Nice start on your engine stand I'll be following along since I don't have the luxury of a concrete floor all my engine stands roll on pneumatic wheels those three wheelers are nearly worthless.... I very interested on how your going to do the rotating head.

You could have just turned the main center piece upside down and have it like you were talking about having it so the weight would close on the front and rear tubing
