Haruka Noma aka HAL-CA is 15 years in this video. SHE is one of my favourite guitarists since I first heard her in 2018.

Guitarist Hal-Ca (real name Haruka Noma) turned 18 last December, so she would have been only 15 when this was recorded in 2018..

Hal-ca had been one top watch for awhile now. She is a huge fan of Akira from Loudness and you can hear it. They have really progressed in a short time and the newest EP steps into a more mature and prog vein. Still kicks ass though. Buy their records and support these great young musicians

Love these guys, they are quite diverse, Yunagi(funky), Disperse(proggy) All of their new EP Guernica is quite prog metalish

Ok I'm awake now! Jeezus. Love that pinch squealin. Yes please bust out the Conk and show it off! I've never played a 7 string bass outside of a music store and it feels like a harp. Crazy. Also heard the Satriani in that.

First here! Nice reaction of one of my favorites. SHE the guitarist was about 15/16 YO when recording this The bassplayer is the same age and he IS playing with the bass live as well. The drummer is 2 YO big brother of the bassplayer. You should check out there livevideos!

Ha great reaction. Glad you sorted it out, Halca on guitar was Barely Quinceanera (sweet 15) when this was recorded (or 14... vid released <2months after her 15th); most amazingly, she'd been playing less than 5 years!. Bassist 15, Drummer barely 18. They are certified RockStars, have already toured the US. I believe Tocuma was already their label then (3years ago). I'm sure she'd love being compared to Nuno, or Via of course. Her fav is Akira from Loudness.

The guitarplayer is female. Think she is 16 years old in this recording, if not 15.

OldSkule Nerd called Hal-Ca Steve Via's japanese granddaughter. They don't have a vocalist to avoid language barriers and they worked with Bootsy Collins on their album.

Wow the last song I heard from them there was more of a Satriani feel to the guitar, here I think more Vai. Like Extreme too yeah. That bass is still Flea influenced. Those drums are very punkish/old school sound, Pau or Keith Moon take your pick. But, or maybe because of the different sounds, the feel is unique. Great, and great reaction! I had to look twice myself, to see if the guitarist was a girl. And kudos to you for bowing to a kid on bass!
